Duels had a lot of untapped potential. Yes it has issues but nothing that can’t be fixed by a dedicated team.
like if the number of cards was the issue, why couldn’t just do a set rotation? Or a hero/treasure rotation ? Why did they have to switch to set-based buckets? Didnt they have a maching learning algorithm to fix the drop rate of individual cards in synergy-based buckets ?

I think Shipsinker doesn't match the rules of this card competition. The rules at the top state the cards need to be placed at the bottom of your deck, not the opponent's.
Scaled Nightmare is effectively worse Maexxna, except for dragon synergies. Otherwise set looks pretty cool, although I'm not sure about making 'expansion' directly supporting one tribe, that feels kinda unfair. That is, unless you pla on making some new packages of other minion types.
Ah yes, good point about Maexxna. Might make it tier 5 in a later revision of the set. And yes, I do intend to revamp other tribes as well.

This is an "expannsion to my expansion". Dragons are a very bland tribe right now. They have no well-defined identity besides being big and possibly divine shield. I am trying to emphasize the "being big" aspect. I want to make it a tribe you can transition to in the late game too. Flavor-wise, this Dragon set if focused on BLACK Dragons from Blackrock exclusively. Razorgore the Untamed is kept as is.

Yes, Obsidian Whelp is just a Dragon version of Deck Swabbie. This effect never made sens in the Pirate tribe but it will make a lot of sense in mine as you will see later!
I wonder if he counts as a SI7 card. Given that hes based on Trias, he should.
Lady Prestor and Wrathion don't count as dragons, so I very much doubt an SI:7 agent disguised as a cheesemonger would. They all probably should count as their respective (pseudo-)tribes, but sadly that's not the HS design philosophy.
I've been looking for a very specific artwork which features a dwarf with a weird parrot-like animal caged, but I coudn't find it. I think Cheese used that art a long while ago back in Hearthpwn.

To be fair baguette means 'wand' (or 'baguette' ofc depending on the context), but not 'rod', because a rod would be too big. So slight mistranslation from Blizz's part. That said in Wow Classic the enchanting rods are called bâtonnets (small sticks) which is more accurate imo
