I have been playing HS since Curse of Naxxramus and i’ve Climbed my way up to the higher ranks of Standard. (Rank 5-Legend) Once you get to rank 5 and above, you start running into a lot of the same decks that are copy and pasted. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but it can get a bit boring and perhaps a bit predictable.
To change the monotony of the game I decided to dive into wild where the only limit is the amount of cards you can put into the deck! There are are hundreds of different archetypes that you wouldn’t even see in Standard! Sure you have some of the people who play Big EZ priest and odd Paladin but there are many others trying neat ideas that inspire me to play them.
To summarize, I play wild for 2 Reasons: 1. A nice change of Pace with a bit more Variety. 2. The Suprise factor of “What kind of deck is my Opponent playing?” The second Reason comes up more than people realize. As an example If you queue into standard ranked and was Matched up with a Warrior you would only assume that it could either be Bomb warrior or Control. In wild you wouldn’t know if you wouldn’t know if you would go from Taunt warrior to Patron Warrior to even Pirate warrior! Wild makes the cogs in my head start turning and it has become an enjoyable experience against any class
I think I sense the coming of a new deathrattle value rouge, this card has insane value (when you draw them) the first cards that come to mind are cards that have immediate board present like Taunt or Rush which are cards you definitely want to use Shadow of Death on. The flexibility of also choosing your opponents minions is really strong as well, let’s say you are vs a Control Shaman and decide that Walking Fountain is looking pretty Juicy, perfect target for Shadow of Death. I think this card will definitely see play, it is possible to use combo applications with this card but I’m more so focusing on the overall value of the card.
A very strong tool against aggro decks the 2/5 stat line is decent but the reborn making it come back as a 2/1 is real strong, even though this card doesn’t look too exciting it is definitely worth looking at when build a control decks
So it's Blessing of Kings and for 2 additional mana you get Divine Shield and Taunt, I think this card is ok but there's nothing crazy or special about it. It feels a bit generic and the impact it has doesn't seem too influential.
To me, Dark Pharaoh Tekahn will absolutely be a deck I try for sure, My only concern is that I would like to see another Lackey generator for Warlock. (or at least another neutral generator like EVIL Cable Rat) Currently Like most people said here there are only 4 direct ways to generate Lackeys for Warlock and 2x EVIL Cable Rat and 2x EVIL Genius for a total of 6 Lackeys. However I am interested in the ways you can indirectly generate more Lackeys! One way you can (although probably not efficiently) use 2x Baleful Banker to shuffle more Lackeys in and use Witchwood Piper to tutor them out. Another way could be in a more late game scenario where you use Glinda Crowskin to make your Lackeys have echo! Lastly (and in my opinion the most likely) is that you run Barista Lynchen to get copies Lackeys on the Board into your hand. Just some Food for thought!
Thanks sinti! I'll definitely work on the wording when I make more cards, thanks for the feedback I'm looking forward to participating in Card Competition so I'm sure I'll have plenty of practice!
Because this is pretty impressive. The balance is nice, and the artwork is good. There is a slight wording error ("Add" should start with a lowercase "a"), but looking past this, this is a nice idea. Although most Lackey generators are one-time offerings (with EVIL Totem currently being the only exception), the discard is ultimately a fair trade-off in my opinion.
Nice job on this one. Always love to see new faces in the custom card community.
Thanks! yeah I have always thought about making cards before especially when I was more active on HPWN but i was too scared about how the reaction would be when I would make cards (too negative) but I decided to move past that. and yes this is my first genuine custom card I created, I really appreciate the Feedback!
Let me begin by saying, that this card is a CUSTOM CARD, not an Officially Printed Hearthstone card! I want to make that clear because currently we are in the Saviors of Uldum Card Reveal Season and I don't want people to get angry because they thought this was a real card.
Now that I got that out of the way, GREETINGS My name is CovenantKevlar, (You can call me Kev) I'm a real big fan of Hearthstone and I've been playing since Curse of Naxxramus, I've always wanted to make very own Custom card but never had the courage to do so until now. Currently we are in the middle of the card reveal Season for Saviors of Uldum and I had an idea for what could be (or could've been) a card for the set. One of my favorite classes is Warlock and currently there has not been a Warlock Lackey Generator revealed. (especially when Dark Pharaoh Tekahn just revealed a few days ago) So I theorized one!
I wanted the Lackey Generation for warlock to come with a cost similar to how EVIL Genius makes Lackeys, a price for Power! I choose to focus on the Discarding mechanic because currently in the Standard rotation discard warlock is in a weak position, It always sucks to discard cards you wanted to play so I wanted to make a card that generated you value whenever you discarded cards. In terms of mechanics it would work exactly like Malchezaar's Imp This is my First Custom card submission so let me know what you think of it! If you think that the card is too strong or too weak I want to know, Your opinion will help shape other Custom cards I might make in the future.
yeah what I meant by replacement was "Would you run Whirlwind just for Plague of Wrath?" There will be situations where you will draw Whirlwind but not Plague of Wrath and Whirlwind just kinda sits in your hand where as Warpath itself is a semi-boardclear. I know Warpath will rotate next year so im hoping that another type of Whirlwind effect comes out with Plague of Wrath
Just to reiterate, I Think Plague of Wrath is a good card, I think you will see a 1x copy of them in Warrior, However I am not convinced that people will run a copy of Whirlwind just to get this combo off, If you cannot list me other examples of where Whirlwind can be useful other than Plague of Wrath in a Warrior deck that wouldn't be utilized by another card in this Standard Rotation, My opinion will stay the same

really cool card, and let me just say FINALLY. This looks like an actually good lackey generator for warrior. the 2/2 weapon is ok but at least two lackey's to your hand is good value. Don't forget you can buff the weapon durability with Upgrade! and Captain Greenskin for to get an additional lackey.
I like this card, it’s pushing for an arc type that hasn’t been seen in standard for a while (probably for the better!) Aggro warrior. I say I like it because this quest won’t necessarily be run next to Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and it’d be nice to not play tug-a-war with control warrior all the time. Curious to see how the deck will be buil
You could say that deals for his shop are always Ajar.

Just as a funny note, you Could give your opponents reborn if they are playing cards like Doomsayer but I know that’s a very fringe scenario.

Definitely One of my favorite cards ever printed
One day I'll go through the Heroic Adventures to earn these bad boys
I remember trying to earn this with an Emulator I ran
I would love to have that on some of my decks
One day I'll earn you
I definitely wish I started playing in May, I started Season 3 (June 2014) but Kudos to those who got this one

I will say that I do remember that Whirlwind and Sleep with the Fishes was used back then but it was also a 3 mana combo and used Primarily against aggressive type decks. However I would not use the example of Equality and Wild Pyromancer Wild Pyromancer can be used in more than just Equality, Pyro can be used with Sound the Bells! for Multiple Whirlwind effects, Pyro can be utilized with buff spells like Blessing of Kings and back then Spikeridged Steed and Pyro can just simply be used with Consecration The difference is you can use Wild Pyromancer in more than One situation, He is Flexible compared to Whirlwind.
