23rd May update: Star and Oakijak's Hostage Shudderwock Shaman: King Mukla MVP!
Hostage Sudderwock Shaman. The aim? Frustrate your opponent.
Amour up so nobody dies. Fill their board with chests so they can't play minions.
If you have questions about this deck, head over to the For Doomhammer Discord, and the wonderful denizens of the server will come to your aid! http://discord.gg/nU2bkEV
7th May update: Poison's Reno Shudderwock Shaman ft. Mankrik and Bandersmosh!
What a fascinating take on Shudderwock Shaman. Mankrik and Bandersmosh are two key highlights of the deck. Lots of misplays from me in this video. But the point is, I had fun. Lots and lots of fun. I was also winning games. Thank you to the deck author (Poison).
Key lessons to be learnt by my opponents:
1) Jade Druid - play around Devolve, when your opponent has a full board? "You will wither and rot" was the last thing they said, before losing. They were not happy.
2) Big Priests - should always clear Flurgl! Never leave Flurgl on the board! The ability to replay Toxfins can be game winning for us.
3rd May update: Dane's Shudderwock Shaman, ft. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate
My obsession with Shudderwock Shaman continues! This time, we try out Dane's deck. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate is a fascinating inclusion. This is a hard deck to pilot - knowing when to go off with the Spirit of the Frog is important. You can also end up drawing through your deck very very quickly.
Yogg is your win condition. Repeated Yogg battle-cries decides the outcome of the game. There is a very real possibility that you lose the game! This can be described as "hostage Shaman with RNG attached"! (Quote Frederick Vassar from Twitter!).
Please note - this is a fun deck, not a competitive deck!
1st May update: NightmareCwb's Jade Druid: Back to my favourite deck!
It has been a while since I have played Jade Druid (probably my favourite deck in all of Hearthstone, with my favourite card - Ysera, Unleashed). Solid against hyper aggro decks and Secrets Mage.
24th April update: Beardyman & SaltUrPasta's WILD Big Murloc Paladin: My Journey to Legend!
My journey to legend featuring this wonderful off-meta deck.
The deck has multiple ways to win:
1) Waves of Murlocs thanks to Tip the Scales (cheated out early through Alura, Prismatic Lens or Nozdormu).
2) Pressure from big minions like Scrapyard Colossus, Strongman or Nozdormu.
3) Uther of the Ebon Blade summoning the 4 Horseman!
Thanks to AstralsFlame for the Nerglish (Murloc language) commentary at the start of the video! The first 10 minutes of the video considers tips on how to play the deck. Thanks to Beardyman (https://twitter.com/BeardymanUK) and SaltUrPasta for the deck (https://twitter.com/Joesimpo).
Please be aware: this is an off-meta deck. Getting lucky is important - triggering an early Tip the Scales is crucial.

16th April update: Roffle's WILD Taunt Druid, ft. Plaguemaw the Rotting and Hadronox
Plaguemaw the Rotting is now one of my favourite cards in all of Hearthstone. Endless Khartut Defenders? Yes please :-)
This deck can also gain insane amounts of armour, thanks to Solar Eclipse. This gives you enough time to survive, until you play more taunts or trigger Hadronox's deathrattle.
Please note - these games were recorded before the latest nerfs.
10th February update: hsWhiteDelight's Reno N'Zoth Shudderwock Shaman ft. White Eyes!
Reno. N'Zoth. Shudderwock. A host of defensive tools. This deck feels so smooth to play. Some interesting inclusions, such as White Eyes! Cards which typically don't see play in most other decks, but work well here. Thanks to hsWhiteDelight for the deck (https://twitter.com/hsWhiteDelight).
5th March update: Boltzmann's WILD Murloc Shaman, updated for Forged In The Barrens, ft. all golden cards!
Murlocs get played. Murlocs get buffed. Murlocs go face. Of course, it is more complex than that :-) This is a Boltzmann deck - which means it has been play tested extensively, and is great fun.
3rd April update: Boltzmann's WILD Reno Shudderwock Shaman, ft. Firemancer Flurgl / Toxfin combo!
Boltzmann's Reno Shudderwock Shaman, updated for the Forged in the Barrens expansion. The Firemancer Flurgl / Toxfin combo is now my favourite combo in all of Hearthstone!!
For more awesome decks, check out Boltzmann on Twitter (https://twitter.com/boltzmann2718). Also, what does Boltzmann have in common with the Star of Eärendil (from Lord of the Rings). Find out at the end of the video!
21st March update: Duwin's Tonk Deathrattle Hunter, ft. Sylvanas
Need a deck to cheer you up? Need something a little different? Duwin's Tonk Hunter is all you need.
Key points to note:
- Darkmoon Tonk can end games. - Sylvanas can steal big minions. - If all else fails, Deathstalker Rexxar can back you up! - This is a cool off-meta deck that nobody is playing, you have the surprise factor! In this video, we face a Demon Hunter, Renolock and Big Priest.
13th March update: FCBoogax's Renolock: Tickatus fiesta vs Jade Clown Druid!
How many times is it fair to play Tickatus against Jade Druid? 1? 2? 3? A cool Renolock deck from FCBoogax! Also, loving the inclusion of Sludge Belcher! :-)
6th March update: Secrets Paladin ft. Mysterious Challenger: "Who am I? None of your Business!"
There was a time when Mysterious Challenger ruled the meta (2015/16). How does Secrets Paladin do in 2021? Can Oh My Yogg make a difference? What about Dr Boom? The former "Dr 7". Not played at all in current decks...
Your aim is to go wide on the board early, and end the game before turn 10. Any longer than that, and deck struggles after running out of fuel. I really enjoyed playing this deck, but is it worth crafting the cards? There are more effective aggressive decks (Secrets Mage), yet, this is still a fun trip down memory lane :)
28th February update: Poison's Renolock ft. Krul / Considering our past deeds with Confessor Paletress!
"Take this time to consider your past deeds" What a strange series of opponents we faced: - Confessor Paletress in Big Priest!? - Quest Taunt Warrior with bombs?! - Inspire Demon Hunter?!
Thanks to Poison for this awesome Quest Renolock deck ft. Krul the Unshackled. Lots of fun, and taking me comfortably to diamond rank 3. LOTS of value in this deck with multiple ways to win: - Cheating out big demons with Krul or Skull - Bringing back multiple waves of demons (N'Zoth, Guldan, Merchant) - Prime cards through Rustwix
Other interesting notes: - We were able to outlast a traditional Big Priest. - We were able to outlast an Odd Warrior.
The final question to ask: do you dare craft a golden Krul? ;-) Remember, this is a fun off-meta deck that won games for me. I did not face any Reno Priests, so do keep that in mind! Think carefully before committing to crafting legendaries. When Krul works, he works well - you get a wave of demons onto the board. However, often I find Krul being pulled by Voidcaller or Skull.
29th May update: hsWhiteDelight's Galakrond Shudderwock Shaman: The oceans churn, and the heavens cry!
Shudderwock and Galakrond! Thanks to hsWhiteDelight for the deck.
(I mistakenly called it KremePuff's deck - I got confused with a different deck).
I wasn't sure what to expect with this deck, but it has been working very well on the legend ladder!

The deck author has had success on the legend ladder with this deck (https://twitter.com/NightmareCwb/status/1385679078628462595).
Something to consider - this deck only plays the original Yogg. Is the original Yogg (Hope's End) preferable over the new Yogg (Master of Fate)?

What a strange series of opponents we faced:
- Confessor Paletress in Big Priest!?
- Quest Taunt Warrior with bombs?!
- Inspire Demon Hunter?!
Thanks to Poison for this awesome Quest Renolock deck ft. Krul the Unshackled.
Lots of fun, and taking me comfortably to diamond rank 3. LOTS of value in this deck with multiple ways to win:
- Cheating out big demons with Krul or Skull
- Bringing back multiple waves of demons (N'Zoth, Guldan, Merchant)
- Prime cards through Rustwix
Other interesting notes:
- We were able to outlast a traditional Big Priest.
