Oh, hello new default Druid hero cardback.
Is that Wildfire change a stealth buff to Baka Mage?
The rest of them are about what I anticipated. It is kind of funny only now a few months before that set cycles to Wild? They finally start looking at the absurd power level of cards like Illucia from the Scholomance set.
(eyes Animated Broomstick and Raise Dead angrily)
It would make the most sense for a few reasons. First, the few bits and scraps that would become United in Stormwind were originally based out of Westfall. Deadmines is right next to Westfall so you can recycle a fair amount of assets from that easily enough.
Secondly, Deadmines is roughly the same level gap as Wailing Caverns is for Horde. Third? There are a lot of things from both WoW and Hearthstone that could be expanded upon in Deadmines. Edwin and Vanessa VanCleef are both from there, for example. So is Foe Reaper. If you take both versions of the dungeon, there are a lot of themes and tribes you can work with.
Sure, I could see that. Kind of funny that right about when Scholomance is only a few months away from cycling to Wild? They finally take a look at how much power creep that set allows for.
The redesign has me the most curious. Could it be Illucia? If so, how do you intend to change her?
I am fond of Wildfire for a quick and dirty win, myself.
The one thing, the only thing that keeps Hunter Questline from being completely off the chain in Wild? Hunter has very limited card draw. Don't really think it needs much adjustments reward wise since that has always been Hunter's gimmick. You either steamroll your opponent by top decking like a God or you never get much off the ground.
Warrior Questline is (mostly) good but it gets shut down by any list that has good board control options. And you can lowroll a bad weapon like Cursed Blade or Blood Razor (bad cause it hurts your already low-health minions), Bladed Gauntlet et cetera. The main issue I think is the list can cycle through it's resources fairly well and consistently, which has always been a weak point of Pirate Warrior.
That aside, the Mage one I would like to see work. I like the concept of low / no minion mage and if there is a format that could work, it would be Wild.
Old fart from the team that used to make Blizzard what it used to be. One of the bigwigs of nu-Blizzard's art team for better and worse. Dude loves pandas and pandaren.
I wouldn't mind a card that is a subtle tip of the hat to him. But that's more because I like his art style.
Aw, I wanted a Samwise Didier pandaren card ):
'personal case probably clearing that bar.' Well...uh, thanks for the indirect admission Wild is and always will be your lowest priority. Transparency is always a good thing. Hopefully this time they will nerf Flesh Giant up to 11 mana. Oh and Darkglare again. Now it's a 3 mana 3/3 with the same text.
Joking aside, for the love of Goatse, please make the smallest attempt to communicate with us weirdos who like (and want to like) Wild ladder as a format. The tiniest of communication goes a very, very long way.
Unimpressive swing and a equally unimpressive whiff. Keep ignoring animated broomstick and Raise Dead. There's no way those could ever be the cause of a lot of problems both now and later for designing new cards.
Warlocks may see minor adjustments. I am surprised that did not have eighteen quotation marks, two footnotes and an asterisk around it.
Order of appearance:
Acceptable, considering how strong that card effect can be.
Acceptable, Windfury is almost always relevant.
Eh. Tempo Elemental Shaman is not really a thing in Wild. Very much a Standard change.
GOOD. Get styled upon, Baka Paladin.
Okay? Still playable.
Another Standard change, not much more to say.
One mana can make all the difference. But this is recognizing it is a bit of an issue so, progress.
Questline Baka Hunter says thanks?TL;DR:
Mostly good changes. Mind taking a look at Animated Broomstick? At one mana that stupid broom allows for far more reach than a 1 mana neutral should.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Hopefully not a case of 'meet the new boss, same as the old boss'
Oh my Goatse, I need that ramen cardback in my life. 地球上で一番美味しいラーメン！
Necrium Blade with 1 extra attack, an immediate effect but costs 1 more. Could see use in meme big Deathrattle Rogue lists.
No idea of it's impact in Standard. Wild? It's a slower and (by proxy) worse Quartermaster.
Would be a funny inclusion for Awaken the Makers Priest.
Fails to address Overload still being a bit of a poorly implemented mechanic.
However it does make it marginally less of a poorly implemented mechanic so...progress?
Quite handily the worst weapon in-game. Until something worse is printed (good luck).
