How do they not have the proper time to fully test everything? They're working on sets in advance and have to be aware of what has the potential to be broken and abused and what doesn't.
Unpopular opinion, but Lunacy Mage requires a bit more skill than Secret Paladin. An you don't even need to run C'thun, or even draw/ play Lunacy early.
You really need to play smart, test for secrets and play defensively until the board is yours, or they run out of cards to play trying to run you over.
The biggest offenders right now are Pen Flinger and Sword of the Mysterious Challenger.
If they wanted classes to have more access to card draw then why have they Hall of Famed the Neutral cards they have?.. So they can just print newer ones that rotate which brings them back to having to create more all over again?
I Quit playing halfway through DoD release. Didn't bother with the last adventure.
Had zer0 gold saved up and preordered at the Last minute an including the free golden legendary (Astromancer Solarian) out of 55 packs I pulled Archspore, Akama, Lady Vash, Lurker Below, Kanrethad & Bladefist.
With the entire no duplicates rule in effect. I am only missing 32 cards , and with 9200 dust can easily craft what I want.
They deserve to spend some time with their families and not have to focus on a game that already takes up alot of their attention.
This was a smart move, it doesn't gut shaman, just slows it down and gives you much needed time to mount a counter.
While Apothecary can lead to big swing turns, its a gamble. Don't draw them and you're looking at a handful of bad plays. It will probably go to 5mana eventually though.

How did someone from the design team not speak up and say hey you know what guys? All of these are really over powered, so maybe let's not turn it up to 11 on this expansion.

Yeah I just got 1 game in and won, no star awarded, and back to getting an error. Not using any core cards or goldens.
Strictly using non golden expansion cards and still nothing. This is unacceptable.. free packs anyone?
I mean I get that as was the case with Azure Drake, but does warlock really need help drawing cards? Or Demon Hunter ?
An whatever classes they print them for, will need consistent replacements each rotation if it's something they want to stick around
Maybe in Demon Hunter or in platinum & legend ranks ? I've rarely seen it played. Definitely not in Warlock, Priest or Rogue.

Meanwhile on standard ladder shaman will get gutted and rogue will be untouched leaving an even more polarized meta with insanely stated 1 drops.
