I think Poppy might be the hardest out all of the champions released to find a home in a deck, which is why I left it off the list of decks to craft day 1 - it's probably better to craft some of the easier decks to build such as Darkness Control or the Flashbomb Puffcap one.

Having said that it will still be a powerful champion so it's not a bad idea to craft her straight away, you'll beat all the unrefined lists on the first few days of the expansion.

It's close, they are similar in their stats, I would argue the 1 attack is more important that the health but it could go either way. You often have troll chants or battle fury to help your units survive.

Much of the removal you have suggested is conditional, and only has a good effect after something has happened that turn (unit died, plunder etc.)

If you play thrumming swarm and attack with it on the same turn, 4 damage instant removal is not as common outside some double mystic shot hands.

If you play thrumming swarm and open attack the following turn, you are essentially ignoring all the removal that would supposedly kill this.

In any case, your big overwhelm units are either getting blocked, or stunned/frozen. With the latter it doesn't matter either way, but if they are being blocked then every bit of overwhelm damage matters.

Alpha is better suited to aggro metas (currently) whereas thrumming is better vs control

Personally, from my experience, I have almost always beaten Irelia Azir with his list.

Although they do have lots of recall, I found it is best to time your removal spells such as culling strike on a turn when their blade dance is relatively weak. By removing their stuff before they snowball you will have a good chance against that deck. Of course, I may have been fortunate 😄 and it is definitely the hardest aggro deck to face.

Den's list basically tries to get more use out of the champions, and Strength in Numbers will always have potential to steamroll if it doesn't get denied. This means against faster decks this list is probably favoured. You can block Irelia's 1/1s with giant marauders, and generate Mirror Images in the process. Maybe with some more reputation support this deck will get better.

However, its probably too early to tell which of the lists are better. Against Thresh Nasus, it is probably better to run the Hearthguard/Assessor version; against control in general it may be better to use the version that buffs your board and draws load, because the opponent will eventually run out of answers.

I'll admit, I wasn't the first to use Fading Memories but I was surprised how well it works.

Also with cards like The Box and Passage Unearned, they both are really good but tend to brick your hand a lot, feeling like you spend the game with less cards than your opponent. All worth it for the blowout play though! 😉

Draklorn may work in a more midrange-y deck but it is a bit of a board hog

So if a unit dies as a result of your action - such as attacking an opponents blocking unit, using a spell like Vengeance to kill a unit, or if you kill an allied unit like Ravenous Butcher, all count as a slay

Well spotted! Thank you for pointing that out, it should have been explained better.
