I left this comment before the post was updated with the new images of what the cosmetics will look like (I agree it's not anything too special), but I really just thought it was neat that Riot is putting in this little encouragement to play with all of the cards...which, unlike Hearthstone, they also encourage you to have free if you play enough.
I also left this comment when my frustration with Hearthstone was at an all-time high, and have since quit the game. So it can and should be taken with a grain of salt.
My first duplicate Legendary before they first introduced duplicate protection. I was happy to get him the first time, but boy, was I disappointed the second time...
Being able to answer your opponent is one thing I think really sets this game above HS. I've played too many HS games where I can't do anything but sit back and watch the opponent destroy me. Maybe I'm not a good player, but the give-and-take of LoR feels superior to me.
Riot is constantly tweaking, so it's interesting to see that they consciously allow stuff like this to happen. They seem to never let things get TOO busted for too long.
I have success with Zed in Expeditions. Maybe LeBlanc will be kind of like that.
Otherwise, yeah, underwhelming.

Penitent Squire is Cithria of Cloudfield with an effect. Thought at first this was maybe powercreep, but she does lack the Elite tag.

Renekton looks badass, but some of his support cards look pretty wicked. Quicksand seems brutal at burst speed.
I think they look just fine.
The spell one is a little odd, but would look better if the frame was square. They could keep the round image but make the card more square...
I love the food themed backs. Lemonade is definitely top tier.
