Merc is either grind or pay to get the best mercs, so like others have said it focuses on fustration in order to get people to spend. I mostly did Merc mode to get achievements and I am nearly done about 70% of those which is my goal. After reaching that, I don't have any goals left for that mode so will likely drop it until something new is added.
As part of Eternal's next set in early November, Dire Wolf is giving 150 Expedition-legal cards to all accounts, old and new. So this may help bring in new players or for veteran players it may fill in some gaps they have in their collections. The cards cannot be dusted into shiftstone, even if duplicate.
The classic set will be changing in 2022. At a minimum, once some DH cards rotate, the classic set will get some cards (I assume from the existing sets). However, I am not sure about 2021.
The only way you can earn dust from nerfs is crafting golden commons, but you earn like 20 dust so not worth it to me.
The dust value of this expansion is I can finally dust all the bad legendaries since after the new set releases it means you will never get that dusted legendary card from a future pack.
There was a recent nerf of popular Justice (green color) cards that easily kill your minions, so budget decks might get better except for Yetis, that is no longer good anymore.
No way old set cards are coming back for month so that is why Wild exists.
What I would like to see is instead of 3 expansions with 130+ cards a year, do two normal expansions and 3 or 4 mini-sets of 20-30 cards. The mini-sets would came out maybe a month after the last release.
Removing the card reveal from the schedule shows at least one person knows there is a problem. It is a shame it took this long for Blizzard to take some action.
Unfortunately, MTG Arena can never be brought to mobile - you and your opponent can have dozens of cards with looong texts on the board both at the same time, it is not possible to create a mobile design for this mess.
There are plans to bring it to mobile and maybe it will not work out, but it is being attempted.

Decent card for control decks. It also limits aggro deck growth.

That is a lot of dust for a deck that might go away after the Halloween event ends. I would say wait on crafting her.
You forgot Muster, that is each turn, while this unit is in play and you play both a spell and an attachment, gain the effect.
Also, Mastery, when a unit deals damage and lives, add to its Mastery. Once the Mastery total is reached, gain the effect.

We cannot have over 100 bucks in Blizzard balance, which could have possible from using all of those WoW tokens from WoW gold.
