Too bad this came out now. Had it been on rastakhans instead it would have been crazy to see how much value you can get out of overkill cards.
But this card is definitely good. A nice way to trigger frenzy and related mechanics because that's absolutely the problem with frenzy related cards in warrior right now. On top of that it can also just clear the board depending on the minion and board obviously.
But to give up a card slot though? Well, we've got kresh, Lord Barov, and depending on the board, Frothing Berserker that can work with this card. Can only get better.
Overkill only triggers if the minion with overkill is the one attacking, not if enemy minions attack it. Also, this being tradeable justifies the deck slot it takes up.
I really don't understand the hate, must every legendary have a keyword soup to be considered interesting? This is a build-around card worthy of its rarity, watch the reveal video if you lack some deckbuilding inspiration.
Horrible, even if it could go face there's little to no reason to run this over other weapons. May be better than Truesilver Champion if you play cards like The Glass Knight or Zandalari Templar since you take damage before getting the heal but why would you play those cards in the first place lol
Nobody ever asked for any of these ogre cards so I don't know why blizz thinks we enjoy them. Props on the flavor, but at this point these coin flip cards that aren't meant to be played competitively feel insulting. I guess random minion generation and evolve effects are a thing so this adds an additional layer of variance to those already random games. Hearthstone will be hearthstone I guess.
It does have a few problems of its own; it exist in a class without much draw, and honestly it kinda reminds me of the potential that was Electra Stormsurge which didn't really go anywhere on top at the end. You can barely slot this into the current doomhammer or elemental shaman as it is, despite what the video is showing because in what world do you not mull your hand for your smaller elementals and certainly holding on to dungeoneer with this card just to reload is perhaps a bit too optimistic given that the only real card you need is Doomhammer and the associated buffs 90% of the time.
I expect the repetition of battlecries to work like Shudderwock's effect, so targets for battlecries like Mistrunner or Fire Elemental will unfortunately be random.
Is the repeated battlecry triggered twice with Brann Bronzebeard or Corrupt the Waters? Also, this repeats the first battlecry played this turn whenever you play a battlecry minion, right? There has to be a way this can be abused easily, at least in wild.
Did anyone find an answer if it will work with C'Thun, the Shattered? I'm very curious about how the order of start of game effects is decided.
If its the same as with the baku/genn interaction with Cthun, its entirely random.
Basically, at the start of the game both cards are shuffled in at random and the one on top would proct first. So if benedictus happen to be above Cthun in the shuffling, then his effect will happen first, followed by Cthun's.
Oh I didn't know about that, it never crossed my mind to try C'thun with Baku or Genn. That is one of the dumbest interactions I have ever heard of.

But all subsequent flames are recast, you only played 1 overload card.

TIL 'baguette' means 'rod' and that's exactly how I'll refer to the new warlock weapon Runed Mithril Rod from now on.

This with Mailbox Dancer and Pen Flinger is a 4m board clear which leaves you with 2 more coins in hand.

Thanks, I hate it. At least the hero power can't be spammed before turn 4.
Deletelock might use this for milling yourself faster? Then play Neeru or win by fatigue damage after quest completion.
I don't think Vectus works with this as is theorized in the video
Drawstone meta inc
Interesting design, but I wish they would just stop printing evolve support forever
It's good that it's tradeable, but the effect seems just bad for 6 mana.
I'm curious why this had to attack randomly instead of just having rush. Maybe they it would be too strong with Playmaker or something?

thank you, that was what I saw too
