I have no problems with the ban currently, but I would like it much more if they changed how paying health for cards and immunity works together instead of completely changing the card when it rotates in 2 years.
An in-game notification on the 15th of each month encouraging players to participate in the event would be nice. This way it almost seems like a private event.
In the future they could also make something like a forbidden/limited list for wild, like in Yu-Gi-Oh duel links. That would basically allow you to put Stealer of Souls or Violet Illusionist in your deck, but never both at the same time. I'd much rather see that solution than if they nerfed/changed the card after it rotates.
and it's been performing much better for me. I also tried Neeru Fireblade but he just ended up sitting in my hand.
Fire Breather is actually very good and much better than School Spirits would ever be, even if you don't need the board clear it removes enemy minions with leftover 2hp after trading, doesn't damage your own minions and develops a solid body. I also think Midway Maniac is good in any matchup since it protects your other minions from being traded due to its high health.
Nice deck. I didn't really find Felosophy useful and I was facing hunters often so I replaced it with Drain Soul instead. I really wish I could slot in Flesh Giants somewhere, but nothing else seems cuttable.
I don't understand the possible future direction of frost mage this and Rimetongue are trying to hint at. Summon a bunch of elemental tokens that freeze? Even if some win condition is introduced, the game plan to go wide seems a bit odd for mage.
Adventurers should be pretty popular and useful, as they seem to be like stronger lackeys which trade flexibility for immediate board presence. By usefulness in common situations, I'd have to say windfury seems to be the worst out of these. Perhaps this could push rockbiter weapon to be a staple in shaman from now, since it synergizes well with doomhammer and the new rush windfury elemental as well, all of which can be tutored.
Edit: OH I thought they were class specific for some reason, never mind if the effect is always random. I got the idea that shaman would be pushed in a windfury direction.
Personally, the kobolds dungeon run was my favorite single player content they released so definitely yes. The dalaran heist, tombs of terror and other variations had interesting gimmicks with the different hero powers but I don't remember them being as fun or replayable. As for the book of heroes content, I could care less about the campaigns gameplay-wise or lore-wise, I just finish them for the packs.
I just used secret passage after evocation and at the end of the turn 3 random spells from those generated by evocation were shuffled into the deck, while the rest of them stayed in my hand. Looked like a weird bug.
Could the treasure hunt achievement criteria be related to the typos (which seemed to be made almost on purpose) in the letter in the wooden crate featured on this site (barrens survival pack or something)?
The ones I agree with are mankrik, consumed by hatred (only because mankrik is too good for a card that's free and easily slots in almost every deck) and crabrider (because of the hand of a'dal curve)
I NEVER would have expected that Quilboar would be the next tribe they add to the game. It's interesting how it's a result of a battlegrounds tribe addition.
I am guessing the censored comments are akin to hate speech, which is an expression of intolerance. Why should anyone be forced to tolerate expressions of intolerance? Are twitch trolls just exercising their free speech by spamming provoking messages and they should just be left alone? Enforcing rules that create spaces for more meaningful discussion is hardly dictatorship. I am all for expressing different opinions, but at least they should be presented in a civilized and respectful way. Silencing toxicity at least states that it is not welcome on that platform until the perpetrators learn to express their opinions in a more appropriate way. We have lived in a world of rules for centuries so not having absolute freedom is hardly the downfall of society.
Not at all. Can you see any "hate speech" or intolerance here?

Well now that you posted the actual comment that got censored, I see a different picture than I originally painted in my head. Please keep in mind that my comment was fueled by previous experience with defending so-called "free speech" on online forums and I was biased to think the same is happening here.

nah, we don't have that petty censorship here. Unless you post deliberately inflammatory stuff you should be fine.
Also, regarding that zalae post forma few days ago, it's not really censorship as much as people throwing out some really terrible and poorly thought out takes so Flux, being understandably frustrated, decided to shut down the whole thing to prevent the chaos.
It's not really censorship because he didn't remove specific comments for wrong think but rather shutting down the playground because he realised some people weren't mature enough for the discussion.
Inflammatory and poorly thought out comments that I expect to see in these kinds of forums are what I was referring to. I value this community as being better than your average online gaming community, but I still sometimes see toxic comments on this site.
Relying entirely on the community to maintain a productive discussion without any moderation is not always possible, as indicated by the last quoted paragraph. The most extreme measure is shutting down the platform completely. Directing the discussion slightly without it having to be understood as censorship can go a long way.
If it's still unclear, I agree with your original post and your comment should not have been censored.
I come from the comments section of hearthpwn about this same news.I hope there is no such insulting censorship here as there is there.
There, you only have to look at the numbers followed by an # at the side of each comment and you will see how many are missing in a normal numerical correlation.
That's indicating that the society is doomed.. The theoretical inviolable freedom of speech has given way to a vile dictatorship of the politically correct.
Silencing the dissidents does not solve anything, it only gives them more strength, increasing their number as time passes.
Why can't we understand that uniformity of thought is a utopia? Why not try to understand other points of view and thus dialogue peacefully as people? Without censorship or imposition, I appeal to sanity and tolerance.

I wholeheartedly support this and would like to nudge everyone to read Jia's analytic take on the topic if you already haven't. I wish Blizzard would take a more proactive approach rather than a reactive one and actively work towards creating a more inclusive environment. This is a glimpse of a change starting to happen, but they need to and have the power to do much more.
That is an impressive achievement, but I don't understand the long-term competitive appeal of this game mode at all. Do players plan to do this with the same decks every month? I doubt the meta will change without any changes to the card pool.
I just don't think it'll be enough to really fix the meta in such a way that other classes will be equally viable.
Like...what reason is there to stop playing Paladin or Mage? Libram Paladin still craps on just about every other deck in the game with the only downside being that it can no longer use Pen Flinger for reach. The Sword nerf is almost an indirect buff because it means you can run a smaller secret package (6 total) and still get full value from both swords most of the time.
Meanwhile Mage can easily just run Lunacy as backup because the regular gameplan of Spell Mage is so strong that it only loses to aggro which will get held at bay by the Paladins.
The "only" downside of pen flinger being used for reach in libram paladin is a huge thing, since it removes any burst damage and a win condition for paladin. Also, your logic on the sword nerf being a buff makes no sense.

So in the end I settled with the following changes:
-2 Raise Dead
-1 Felosophy
+2 Drain Soul
+1 Tamsin Roame
and it's been performing much better for me. I also tried Neeru Fireblade but he just ended up sitting in my hand.

Honestly, I would be perfectly fine if they just rotated it out prematurely.

Especially if the cards were designed to be a niche tech choice rather than common staples.
