True, but I made it HS-proof. However, I remember the time we, as the player base, took on the Lich King. That took some days, maybe they could implement something again.
As expected, AV! Maybe Warriors can create matches that take 2 hours to complete to honour vanilla AV.
I am looking forward to the new keyword they will introduce. I dont think they split cards Alliance and Horde faction, but maybe they reintroduce Trade and Frenzy or more synergies with that? as seen in the mini-set, Trade has a lot more potential then when it was introduced.
Probably lots of dwarves, but sadly not the Flames of Ironforge. Well, a man can hope.
I am glad the author came up with the pack openings. He explained it to me on the forums as well, but they felt really bad and still do.
Overall, I like the mode although it feels very beta and is missing some balance.
Talking about balance, some legendary cards are soo important for a good build that you have to be extremely lucky to open one or grind for the coins. I wish there are accelerators for obtaining them. For example, progressive cost in crafting legendaries.
I have another problem with mercenary coins and I have contacted Blizzard multiple times for this. It turns out that sometimes I only receive coins in my packs, however this is not stated anywhere on their website that this happens. I dont own every single portrait of the same rarity and therefore a portrait should be included in every pack.
Do you guys have the same problem?
PS: The GM's are nice as always, but the solution is horrible (as always). They are blaming me for being confused.
I have gotten many packs that are Coin-only; the chance of this happening increased as my number of missing Mercs decreased. Not as fun as opening a new Merc, but I get it.
I believe the situation is that there's only a percent-chance of opening a portrait: it's not a guarantee to open one just because you're out of Mercs. It needs to flag "oh, did you obtain a Rare/Epic/Legendary Merc?" then separately rolls to see if "did you obtain a portrait of that rarity?" goes off. If both are Yes, then you get the portrait. If the latter is a No, but the first one is a Yes, then you get a new Merc; if they're both No, because you have all the Rares or whatever, then you just get Coins.
Portraits are like golden Hearthstone cards: just because you have all the Commons, that doesn't mean you'll start only pulling golden Commons. The difference is that instead of getting a regular Common dupe, you're getting random Coins.
Thanks for te explanation. Would be nice if official Blizzard channels explained it that way, it is now stated as I assumed it was

I can be upset about it when they have ramped up the monetization at warp speed over the last year, while the actual quality and balance of the game has plummeted.
Do you even care about cosmetics? They just generatie extra value from whales.
Pre-orders contains more items then previous years for the same price. So I dont know why you should be upset.
I dont like raisins on my fruitcake, I want a cherry on top.
This also thins out a hunters deck. Increasing the chance of good topdecks.
Glad Mythrax is back, huge improvement for menagerie.:)
I love the fact that the mercenaries are equiped with wow-gear found in the (mini)-sets
Riot is Blizzarding Blizzard. (Announcing big projects at the same time as competitors).
A winter theme in the winter. Remember when Koft released in the summer.

I believe the HS-team does enough work, look at the basic set introduced last year. I dont know why you are assuming they dont.
Dont forget about the Horatio-Caine guy. He put up his sunglasses at the end of a questline.
Or the option to trade dust for coins and vice versa. That will be the best solution, as gold isnused in both economies as well.

Out of Cards, for all your card gaming needs. Nice to give this game a mention. Tried the previous version for some weeks, but very complex game
What? You need to invest time to keep up with constructed? What a shame!
What they made a seperate game within the Hearthstone universe and want to make some profit with the new mode? How dare they!
You rant doesnt make any sense at all. Balance updates are coming next Tuesday, so I really dont care that there are more cosmetics coming out.
Fun is subjective, I think meta is fine.

No that isnt a cash grab. You cannot pay the devs with air.
Cash grabs were thinks like no-dupe clause in the past. Or offering a bonus for a six month subscription.
This is just the business model of the mode.
The mount is part of mercenaries. If you complete the tutorial you get him. Just like the Hearthsteed (which still is avaible).
The rest is a bonus for a half time subscription to halt the downfall of WoW subs.
My advice is not to buy it. Most of the time you quit WoW after a month or take a break.
