Because you probably copy and paste the deck and game is using your wild cards from the collection not those given by them. I had the same issue by copying the deck.
I'm playing too a combo priest with the quest and have similar experience, quest being an alternative for buffing minions and have a wining condition. But I feel with the quest the deck is more controlish. Anyway there is some potential in my opinion in a more refined combo priest with quest.
I've got the Supreme Archaeology and at first I was disappointed, thinking that the mana cost for drawing cards will be zero not the cards.
Now, I see a good potential, at least for meme and fun decks and yes with Rafam can be a deck like this. I hope we will find a list somehow good also for winning games :)

I'm playing a homebrew version, more middle range with Tak and Togwaggle. The deck is really fun and when the combo works is very strong.
I'm playing it at the rank 5 at the moment. Early in the morning I've managed to get to 4 with it.
I've notice on ladder some more aggresive versions and also some with vanish. I dunno about them yet, didn't try them.
