My personal opinion is, Blizzard ain't stupid, just greedy. They obviously still want all income from Chinese based players, especially because they've just release Diablo Immortal, which is probably their main cash cow. IDK about why they still haven't got a partner yet, but it's their own fault for being greedy.
NetEase aggrement ending soon, probably the end of January. I kinda wanna see what's gonna happen losing all the China players have anything to do with Hearthstone.
Does it have to be favorite moment from Hearthstone? Oh well, I hope you don't mind but my favorite moment was when I stopped playing this addictive game in Castle Nathria back then. Let me be honest, that was the single most joyful experience that I felt because I no longer have to grind and grind thru hours of gameplay just to get XP enough for gold and for the next expansion every single day.
Now I can actually enjoy other games, so much that I actually finished MGSV, RDRII, Farcry6, and other fantastic games with the limited time I have.
I want to win too, but I hope this weird favorite moment is not gonna be disqualified just because it's not what everyone like. *fingercrossed*
What is there to say. As bad as it is, there's still gonna be people buying it, even if, for some reason, they sold them at higher price in the first place. I wouldn't say predatory, but $80 for 80 packs of worthless cards is bad.
What's here to take point is, they still trying to make up for those bundles by adding and adding more. I still remember the old days when bundles only gave 1 free legendary, now there's 2, and now they even include merc packs. God knows what more they gonna add in the future.
But if anything, my single opinion was, it's not gonna be here for a lot longer. The signs is there, The game is old, and Marvel Snap getting more popular than ever. Dean and some known designer is already out, the total playable cards is already very hard to keep track as it is (almost 5000 I assume), the platform is old and no longer fit for 3 massive game modes for mobiles, etc
Unless they make a significant move to upgrade the game, I couldn't see any future with this. Along with everyone worthless collections. Yeah, in the end, everyone buying the bundles won't get their money value back.
Can we really trust this "3% revenue"? I don't know about this, but China sit on rank #1 in population. Even with the great firewall, I still don't believe that 3% revenue number.
And, personally, if Acti-Bliz still trying all they can to pursue operation aggrements with China, won't the 3% revenue number sounds suspiciously low?
I hope reading manga or watching anime is still an option. There's a lot of other way to entertain children, but yeah, playing games for a limited 1 hour only on weekend is sucks.
God forbid I rant because HS wording has became so irrational. Usually you could grasp the meaning of card effect once you read it. Yeah, 4 lines of effects is not enough anymore to define what designer want to say.
It's more understandable if the card would just say, "Remove all minions and return them on board in 2 turns". or sth like that.
Competing against Genshin Impact's base players (especially Chinese players)? I don't think any of these nominated games stand a chance.
Me personally, the longer the game has been around, logically, they should be more polished and known to the masses, also the bigger chance they get to win against a few months age of Marvel Snap.
And again, personally, to see Diablo Immortal to be nominated as Best Mobile Game is a taint to the platform. Diablo was supposed to be Best PC Game, but those days are over.
But I can understand the point of view of someone whose job is to keep up to date with these things. Getting pinged by nonsense is not likely to make anyone's day any easier to stomach. Still though, this is stuff to rant in private, because the good message will almost certainly be clouded by the case study's relative harmlessness.

Nevermind the stats, I still think the Charge buff is too great for a 2 mana HP, considering you can use HP then buff the minion for a quick face damage.
Of course, with Renathal still here, and we don't know how aggresive DK hero can be, perhaps I'm judging too fast (or too far).
But hey, I quitted this game since Castle Nathria because of how I can't possibly stay competitive with F2P with how many cards they printed each expansion now and in the future, so just let me check up how this gonna turn up. (Probably get nerf to Rush.. Probably)
The why is still very mysterious.. and no one really knows why?
I assume it has nothing to do with the next new class being add to HS? and there's a bit disagreement between him and higher ups? Maybe he want to do something good and they have different goals, money goals?
And I likely assume it also has nothing to do with the new currency Runestones? Which is the sole reason I quit this addiction of a game?
Whatever the reason was, I wish him the best of luck.

What you expect? That they tested almost all 5.000 card every 4 months? That's not gonna happen. They'll always use players for that.
