Thank you all for the words of support. At the moment I'm playing the quest pirate warrior deck in wild mode. I'm progressing quite well, but I don't know if this deck is good enough to reach Legend. I am at the Platinum X for now. I will try my best this month. I wish the same to everyone else. Good luck!
Quest warrior is the best and easiest deck in the format. Know that if you play even somewhat well you should be able to reach legend without any struggles with that deck. ...if that helps at all.
Just make sure you're dropping Rokara on 5/6, consistently.
Started the year off by getting 2 legendaries in the 5 end of season packs and somehow managed to finally get an 11x multiplier despite not even hitting top 2k legend.
What combo control meta? Everyone is playing burgle rogue right now which is anything but that. Looking past that the following decks are what I see at legend:
Aggro:
-Face hunter
-Pirate warrior
Midrange:
-Quest rogue
Combo:
-Bolner shaman
-Mozaki mage
-Some druid and dh jank
Control
-Libram paladin
-Hand warlock
The meta is extremely varied. I have no idea what you're talking about.
People are crying over Wild, but that format and Classic are, ironically, 3X better than Standard, lol.
This is just so untrue. There's even several top wild players who are moving to standard because wild is so boring, in big part due to odd hunter.
Standard has one polarizing deck currently and that's mage. Which loses to about half of the current meta decks, and there are a lot of different decks viable right now.
I really don't understand how there's people who think a meta is nothing but aggro decks, every single meta.
Currently for every 'aggro' deck (pirate warrior, secret paladin, taunt druid, face hunter...) there are just as many 'slow' decks (libram paladin, big warrior, demon hunter shenanigans, Anacondra druid, quest shaman, quest warlock...).
So no, the standard meta seems completely fine right now and I wish I had more time to play it currently.
Wild, however, is dreadful. Warlock's two best decks got literally erased from the format with no way of coming back and there's just another warlock that pops up to dominate again. Paired with pirate warrior and odd hunter it's just an extremely boring format with only a few decks you'll ever see.
You mean vS' report pre-nerfs? Yeah that's not very relevant right now, is it?
Quote from their latest podcast (2 days ago) "However, because top 3 most played decks right now are a combo of Handlock, Quest Shaman, and Quest Mage, its winrate looks okay."
Handlock and Quest shaman are the clear best decks in the game, and definitely tier 1. With the possible exclusion of top legend where both those decks are so popular that people run polarizing hard counter decks in the forms of Garotte rogue and quest mage.
They're still a problem in standard, albeit not as much in wild.
Tier 1 right now is basically quest shaman v quest warlock v quest mage. Each with pretty polarizing match-ups.
If you're playing shaman or warlock, you can kind of concede the second you see a mage or rogue. Shaman also immediately folds to warlock.
On the other hand, if you're playing any sort of aggro deck, good luck trying to beat a quest shaman.
This all leads to quite the polarizing and unfun experience. Not to mention the whole "control is dead doomsayer talk".
And while above situation could probably be solved by a few good nerfs, most of these questlines seem like ticking timebombs. Hunter and warrior are just one or two good support cards away from becoming as problematic as their wild counterparts.
The only reason that rogue deck has a positive winrate is because it beats warlock, which is extremely popular at the 1% bracket. The deck hard loses to nearly everything else and is extremely polarizing.
Sorry to burst your bubble but rogue really isn't in a good spot right now. Although the nerfs might make questline rogue viable again.
alright, i really didnt think the tone of my post was anywhere near as aggressive as it seems to be being interpreted, but obviously i was wrong. im going to rewrite this more eloquently and post again, and i apologize for allowing my frustration to override the point that i was trying to make. that being said, if you're looking at what decks are being reported hitting legend as well as available deck statistics i dont see how you can come to the conclusion that every class has a deck in the meta. i have more to say on this as well as on your take on blizzards treatment of wild, but ill wait to expand on it in the aforementioned other post, as ill probably delete this one. thanks for being frank with me
Hey respect for apologizing.
My view on standard is mostly based off of vS' early data presented in their podcast ( https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveHS/comments/p90raj/summary_of_the_82121_vicious_syndicate_podcast/ )
Paired with some takes from high legend players who have hs premium (so access to high legend stats rather than just the general ones. Which are generally more telling of how the meta will develop. As players at lower ranks generally flock towards the tried and true decks like warlock, shaman and priest, whereas high legend players are always a step ahead and find counters to the perceived best decks, or even better decks or decklists.)
Both of these sources of information point towards the fact that there's still a lot to be discovered and refined.
Ever consider that people may downvote you, not particularly because of your argument, but because of your godawful tone?
I'd imagine not.
Anyway, I'll bite; standard is really diverse and still nowhere close to refined.
Nearly every class has viable deck(s) and there are a lot of unrefined archetypes still around, meaning it's nowhere close to being fully developed yet.
Wild might be a shitshow because of warlock, but has been that for over a year now. People who think wild is even close to being one of the devs' priorities is just delusional at this point. And even then, Iksar mentioned the other day that they're still looking at some further warlock corrections for wild.

So yeah, pretty good start overall lol

Oh I thought jokes were supposed to be funny.
My bad!
In wild people don't play him because slow mirrors don't happen all that often.
And against aggressive decks you want to cheat your defensive cards with taunt, not an 8/8 they can ignore.
Good fucking riddance to quest mage, thank you blizz.
Druid and rogue nerfs were needed. Priest unnerf probably won't achieve a thing.
Good? Quest mage becoming even more popular would be disastrous. No one wants to play against that polarizing mess of a deck.

That's... a very weird way of spelling shadow priest.
Both of those decks have very clear counters. Quest hunter only has limited damage so any slow deck with heals or lifegain should be fine.
Warrior loses hard to soul rend evenlock.
So no, they shouldn't be a major reason for complaints.
False. Prior to the latest nerfs giants seedlock was the better deck as it beat ruixiang warlock, plus everything else.
Since the nerfs it's kind of up in the air which version's the better one.
Can you read the post? Questline warlock and shaman are definitely viable so what are you complaining about?

Ah yes, 'Miracle priest' the deck made to counter warlocks that ended up not even being favored into them.
Uhm, the strongest wild deck absolutely runs flesh giant?
