I personally find this to be very sad news for myself and the Priest class in general. No one championed Priest more than him. And he was one of the very few streamers that I always watched, supported, and contributed financially. This is a clear reflection of how bad a shape Priest is in Standard; and Priest only fares a little better in Wild.
Priest is my favorite class but it is very clearly Blizzard's least favorite. And while no one cares whether I play Hearthstone, losing the support of high profile players and streamers ultimately affects the entire game's popularity and success.
Barely playable. In the past Priest has been given cards that reduce enemy minions' power so this synergizes quite well with them -- not. Really, Priest needed help in Standard. Especially Galakrond Priest. So far all I've seen is borderline crap. Wake up Blizzard!
Most pathetic group of "balance changes" I've ever seen. Better than nothing, barely. Priests needed help, and other cards needed to be adjusted. Sigh.
Both Standard and Wild have strengths and weaknesses. Personally I find Rank 5 in Wild quite liberating. Since you don't really have anything to lose you are free to play a wide variety of decks and I face a wide variety as well. Now, if you plan to climb to Rank 4 and beyond then the situation changes dramatically and for the worse.
And while I am obviously influenced by other decks and the Meta I never, ever copy a deck. All my decks are of my own construction and design.
It definitely will depend on the Galakrond. Priest probably needs the fewest as their Battlecry is a board clear, and Fate Weaver is also a wee bit underwhelming. The other four need more since their Battlecry is really enhanced by being invoked; and their invoke side cards are arguably stronger as well. Yes, Shaman probably needs less -- especially if Corrupt Elementalist is combined with the quest.
A really cool card whose usefulness will vary from game to game and circumstance to circumstance. I do believe that it's worded the same way as Tess Greymane so alas no Battlecries (good or bad). But you can certainly become a new hero. And at least they gave the card decent stats. Priest doesn't often receive 8/8 minions. Oh, and it's a dragon so there's some synergy there.
They finally did it. While this may turn out to be a useful tech card against certain decks this is a hard counter to High Priest Thekal in WIld. I confess that I love to combo him with Reno Jackson.
Well, consider it yet another tech card. If aggro rules the meta, which is possible because as strong as all the Dragons are they are also a tad slow and pricey, then this card will see play. Obviously if you fill your deck with nothing but tech cards your deck will have no win condition of its own. So choose your tech cards wisely and sparingly.
I have a similar deck in Wild that's doing well. I sadly don't even own a copy of Aluneth so I substituted Subject 9. And while there are a few other differences I think the most glaring are your lack of Cloud Prince and Ethereal Arcanist.
If I want to have fun (which is most of the time) then I will try out decks that are so far beyond the Meta that you would need a telescope to see them. Eventually I can usually refine them so that they win slightly more than they lose. They rarely, however, are good enough to climb the ladder. But if I've reached a Rank where I can't drop any lower, like say Rank 10 or 5, then it's bombs away!

Absolutely a must-add for my Odd Mage deck as well.

Sigh. And still no buff to Galakrond Priest

Not a bad card per se; but this isn't the card that Priest needed and it doesn't seem strong enough for a Legendary.

What's in the second slot? Showing up as blank to me. But it must be something special.
Great in a Murloc deck. Even better in a Dragon deck.
Decent card, great artwork. I'll add one to Reno Dragon in Wild.
Even if you use the ability just once, there's great value here.
Way to go Brian! For my small humble part I'm going back to Free To Play. No more purchases of packs or hero portraits or anything like that.
So why not embrace them all and just start playing Wild? Even part-time.
I received a pack on Saturday and another on Sunday.
