Treant druid is going to bee big with this. Right now the deck can be played with as little as 6 minions. Add this to the already powerfull treenforcements and you got and agrro token deck with way too much cheap card draw!
And hey, if you burn a a minion, so what? mage burns spells all the time with their card.
Is there a point of mana ramp that costs too much mana? Nourish before nerf costed 3 mana in teory due to giving 2 mana to use, and after nerf it only got played in quest druid.
This one costs the same as nourish, doesn't buy you 3 cards, and competes with nourish or breath of dreams.
Won't say its bad because mana maniplation is always tricky, but I don't see it work.
You can play Alexstrasza on turn 4 with that card.
Highroll potential is always good.
Assuming you play it on 2 with coin or inervate, and turn 4 it doenst hit another minion. Kinda inconsistent, but should it happen, worthy of the best higlight in youtube
Embiggen Druid already works, this just makes it better. It's a great target to summon off of Strength in Numbers and gives you more stuff to play should you need more gas.
Too bad there's no more big beast support left, could have been fun.
I get the notion that's why it wasn't printed when there was beast support.
but Big Beast Druid never became a thing BECAUSe it lacked support. Stuff like Stampeding Roar Predatory Instincts and Oondasta could have used this, but instead we get it now when all of those are gone and Embiggen Druid has no direct Beast synergy.
You still have the side quest. playing a minion to have this summoned is bunkers strong. On top of that, 8 mana card for your next turn. We just need to see if it will have a place in the deck. maybe embiggen druid wants more early game minions or taunt minions.
But if "both effects" is active... Will it summon one 9/9 with taunt and rush, or one 9/9 taunt and one 9/9 rush? Based on the wording my guess is that it is the former option.
actually the wording suggests two summons.
If it summoned the one minion with both keywords then it would have to be worded "Summon a Humungus Fungus. Choose One: it has Taunt or Rush"
based on how it's worded right now, the two choices would have to read "Summon a 9/9 with Taunt/Rush" meaning that combining them summons two seperate minions
Or maybe I'm wrong and Blizzard's wording is as fucked up as usual. Could go either way, but I'M almost certain they were going for this kind of powerful effect.
The wording suggests to me summon one thing and what we are choosing is to give it taunt or rush. Given that previous cards like Druid of the Claw have wording that would be more suggestive of two different minions but summon a third combined option when effects like Untapped quest are in play, it would be weird for this Prime to summon two minions. Likely staying consistent with a single9/9 Taunt Rush minion.
During the deck testing, some streamers played with this, and with untaped potential, it sumoned 1 unit with taunt and rush
I know this is suposed to be a class with no card generation, but good card draw, but isn't card draw better than generation? Also, dont they have a bit too much draw?
This is the type of card that early in the year of the phoenix will be abused, due to a low pool od demons, so that you can almost always hit the good ones, but as the year goes on, people will just put the demons they want in the control deck, cut the middle man.
We often forget that shield master was often played in control lists like warlock for that sweet early game stabilization, in order to get easy acess to board clears, big taunts and Reno.
Give it lifesteal and bamm! you got an auto-include in all deck.
Will the different wording have any kind of effect on the result, even in weird situations like some quest from other class or minion effects that activate on summoned/played/...?
Just by looking at it as having a minimum possible cost of negative 4 mana, this is just ridiculous in value decks. Heck, even in agressive decks it can do good.
I can see this work out real good in a control or highlandder shell. Even the turn 5 you suposedly skip, is still early enough in the game to have a low impact, and 2 turns later, it's reverse uno time.
Does it? will this card effect activate if it's summoned by Pit Commander ? an example is big priest with yash raj and ragnaros, where ragnaros does not shoot if summoned that way.

Didn't even consider that! but what big spells are you comboing with that? A malygos play maybe?

I am with you, as many others are. Still, this is better that the other one that gives 1/3 and taunt
WIth so many elusive minions on meta, I don't think this is viable outside some combo deck.
Still, combo decks always worked good even without faceless, don´t think it needs this.
I think it's already here. A treant based deck will have as little as 6 minions and lots of card draw, with treenforcements.
I think this is one of the missing pieces the deck lacked.

Time will tell

This card is bad.
Real bad.
Until the expansion where it becomes good.
Too good.
I know right? for an aggro class, they have loads of efficient card draw, enought to make rogue sweat a little and make hunt to turn green in envy.
I know this is suposed to be a class with no card generation, but good card draw, but isn't card draw better than generation? Also, dont they have a bit too much draw?
It is a weid class is it not? takes a bit of everything.
Kinda like paladin and its 10 archtypes.

And somewhat reasonably good card! Have we had many adorable contest winners viable playable?

Will Warlock Galakron be abble to summon this?
