How much do these catch-up packs cost?

A World Championship event with 16 players. The last one people really remember was Hunterace vs Viper in the finals.

900-1500 gold seems very reasonable. If you could just upgrade right away to the highest level with no cost, then what would be the point? The point is to have a certain sense of progression.

Alternatively, they could have locked upgrades behind a certain amount of gameplay (eg: Upgrade Campfire when you get 2 Mercenaries to Level 10)

These numbers are off, instead of "XP to level" and "Cumulative XP", you have "XP to next" and "Total XP". It takes 155200XP to get to level 100, not 156525.

Additionally, this table only goes up to level 350, when there are 400 levels.

Can we update this table please?

Double XP for a class, yeah could be good.

Double Stars... then what is the point of a ranked system? Well, do not have these double stars past D5 please. Should it not be better to reward players for getting better at the game? If you get a high rank too easily with this, then it feels like it doesn't mean anything.

Akama Stealth Rogue then, where the only epics are Secret Passage and Greyheart Sage and all the other support cards are Common/Rare: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1384958-stealth-rogue-easy-climb-d5-to-legend

As usual with buying packs for HS, the value is in being able to play the legendaries in something that's not just "cookie-cutter meta".

So, it would make sense these bundles aren't limited time and are permanent?

    Quote From Iksar
The reason I like to award a specific card or a specific pack when we can is to not introduce another layer of decision making. Most players have no idea what to craft or what pack to get so they end up hoarding their resources, which is pretty terrible from a design POV. (Source)

Sure, but not at the expense of also earning gold. Earning cards needs to be a bit more dynamic than just cracking packs - there needs to be more individual card rewards, maybe you can buy starter decks or sets of cards (from across the sets) to help a player catch up because they haven't been playing the last 2 expansions. Eg: for Druid, a spell package (2x Ironbark, 2x Bogbeam, maybe throw in a Glowfly Swarm). For Warrior, a "control" package: (2x Minefield, 2x Coerce, put a Brawl or Shield Slam in there). Maybe those cards are too popularly good, so put a Sweeping Strikes/Stage Dive, the player can experiment with these cards.

Though there is the little problem where this can encourage the player to hoard packs until they have bought these "starter" sets for maximum efficiency. But I think a couple of these to get the player up and running faster is worth the sacrifice in efficiency.

For a regular/continuous player they can just save all their gold for the next expansion, while a returning/new one has to spend their gold to get cards from all the older expansions. The duplicate protection definitely helps with this, so that you're getting collection value for each pack and get all the commons/rares, then build up resources for the epics/legendaries, as well as make crafting not feel wasteful.

Turns out this card has been very clunky, in my experiments.

I am pointing out the card names as a joke, lol.

They basically named it themselves with those dragons in DoD. Does that give the "Evasive" keyword any substantial credibility over "Elusive", "Untargetable"? Who knows? They've made concepts with far less

    Another Knuckles combo card!

Minions who attack because of Trueaim and survive get to attack again, right?

I kept thinking Turalyon should have Batterhead's ability to attack again. It is an 8 mana 3/12, after all.

Oo nice I want that for my Big Shaman Muckmorpher deck. Duel Paladin could use this too.

Big Bad Archmage is almost outdated because it's too slow.

Now, what if it read Battlecry: Your opponent's next hero power costs (1) more.

Then we'd have some double battlecry synergies...

Oof, here's YET ANOTHER Druid Hero?

The timing of this is weird, announcing this before DoD has even released
