I’m a bit surprised Big Warrior didn’t make this list. I’ve been doing pretty well with it. It does amazing against the aggressive decks, beats paladin as well and only really struggles against Druid (but what doesn’t other than the really aggressive stuff) and priest.
but cool list nonetheless! I’m definitely going to be trying a few of these.
With DH being a brand new class it’s understandable that the full scope of how well they would perform once introduced wouldn’t be easy to predict. So I can see how these OP cards got printed. They wanted to make sure they were a strong class considering they have a lot less cards to work with than the existing 9.
Im glad the nerf is coming so quickly. On HS Replay the most popular deck is at 69% win rate with over 30,000 games. Completely green matchup spread against all other classes and archetypes. It’s no wonder the nerf is happening in less than 48 hours from release.
Glad this is finally implemented. It could go either way of being extremely bad for you if you get the same dude with the early nuts pulls over and over or ez mode to rank 4 or higher by getting Some person who bailed on the game early with barely any minions several times.
I have to agree with the above. The trailer didn’t thrill me, Henry Cavil is a good actor but the hair and getup seems super cheesy in what is supposed to be a dark fantasy world. Though most times the trailer is terrible the actual show/movie is good so I’m hoping for that effect here.
I loved the Witcher games and have recently been reading the books that inspire them, so it’ll be fun seeing an adaptation of the book storylines. It might change some things too, since technically the games were official fan fiction. This has the author, Andrzej Sapkowski, as the creative director so it will follow he books more closely.
Seems like an improved Piranha Launcher since it was pre Rush, now it actually makes sense to spawn tokens since they can immediately impact the board. However, I still don’t know if it’s up to snuff. Maybe if reborn becomes a consistent problem as this does help ping the copy that comes back.
Seems like the point honestly. A super strong mechanic like lackeys needs to be diluted a bit by a more situational card. Much like how Deathstalker Rexxar was super powerful in standard but terrible in wild. The larger the card pool got, the less consistent it became.
I mean sure, but did we really get a butt load of Ravens last year? Or Mammoths the year before?
No.
The theme is to be perceived in broader strokes I think. Not specifically that because it’s year of the dragon that we’d get a ton of dragon and dragon synergy.
The final set definitely has a deathwing look to the spoiler image so I’m thinking that might be our Year of the Dragon final tie.
At least this resurrect card in and of itself is a minion. So it adds a really bad card to the resurrect pool. So I doubt Big Priest in wild would want to add it. In standard this might be decent as there’s only mass resurrect as another option.
Perhaps some form of wall priest could come back. Big sticky taunts that become stickier and then divine spirit/ inner fire

Once you own the adventure wing, the cards awarded there are disenchantable nerf or not. Same for being craftable once disenchanted.

A Warband is what they call the group of minions you’re running on your battleground team.
A minion is... well a minion. So you get a random minion that they were running.

either way feels bad for someone.

Yeah. Misogyny is usually pretty triggering.
