Honestly, if they implement achievements at the start of the next expansion and those are exciting enough, I might even return to the game.

Gz, Flux. Those were some really nice gifts. I think, that you should continue to create such articles in the future, should you receive more packages from Blizzard.

I have a couple of questions though - how did Blizzard know your address and your shoe size? Was it really a surprise gift or they contacted you via an email?

Wronchi did a good job with this one. Not gonna lie, I laughed at 1:35-1:38, especially seeing Uther's reaction.

I dig the pun in the card name.

Regarding the effect of the spell - the first thing I thought of were demon synergies in cubelock. Maybe that specific deck wouldn't find a spot for this card, but the card itself has a lot of combo potential when combined with Skull of the Man'ari and Doomguard. In zoo, I can imagine, it can also be quite a nuisance with cheap demons. Imagine this with Doubling Imp and Soul Infusion in wild for example.

Holy fuck! I knew Amazing LP was talented, but this... this is on a whole new level! The visual effects aren't the only thing that amaze me. The video looks high budget and it required, most likely, a lot of time to make. How else can I explain the big number of scholars in the academy and the stunning set as well? Is there a post, where I can learn more about the production of this video? I would be really amazed, if Amazing LP had taken care of the most part.

Some people think, that the Darkmoon-Faire-related hints might mean nothing at the end and that the third expansion would be focused on something else. I am not saying, that this won't be the case 100%, but in the past we also got some sneaky hints for the third expansion during a card reveal video:

    Timestamp is 0:41.

There was also an article, that talked about a possible Deathwing-related expansion and even referenced Trump's video, but I couldn't find it. The closest I could found was Frosty's article:

    Thanks for the info.

I have heard of the book named after Illidan, but since I don't own it, I wasn't aware of all lore-related things mentioned there. In the past I was interested in learning more about the backstory of Illidan and Kael'thas, so I found some videos from Nobbel87 and hirumaredx, that referenced the book. However, neither of those youtubers talked more specifically about Illidan's henchmen except maybe the felorcs, the Illidaris, and Shade of Akama. That Illidan built a soul container, that could fuel the portals for his invasions, was really exciting to read.

I have another question and I would like to hear your personal opinion on it. I admit, that the storytelling in tbc could have been better, but wasn't it a good idea to throw the players in a cloud of mystery surrounding their favourite character? I mean, Illidan was really secretive and couldn't trust some of his own allies (like Kael), yet alone outsiders. So, there was no way to know what we were actually dealing with, we could have only speculated what was going on based on the results of his actions. That's why I think, many of the lore details were intentionally left out. If people knew what Illidan was trying to prevent, they wouldn't have stopped him. What do you think?

Nice job, GoliathTheDwarf. I have two questions I would like to ask: Why didn't this article appear on the front page? I found it by clicking on your forum signature. Where did you find the information about the lore of Reliquary of Souls? I remember trying to read more about that thing in the past, but I only found boss related mechanics and such.

As Goliath said, AQ will be released in Classic WoW pretty soon. I'll just post this, if someone is interested in the "opening the gates of AQ" event. People have to complete a bizarre quest

and both factions have to bring some war supplies.

I'd recommend checking the video out, as it is very informative and funny.

So, if someone is still curious - the reason for his suicide can be found here:

    1:43-2:55 5:55

So, according to this video it all started with Reckful's recent tweet. He wanted to propose to a girl, people made fun of him, and since he was suffering from a manic-depression, he took those comments very personally. Hence he decided to end his life.

I don't get the context of this quote.. is there any concrete reason why he suicide? (do we know why?)

and does it has to do with mockery? sure you can say that but did he actually suicide due to something HS related?

    According to Asmongold:

    2:20 5:55

Reckful was manic-depressive. He wanted to propose to a girl, some people ridiculed him in the comment section of his recent tweets and he felt humiliated and decided to end his life. This explains the quote, which Flux shared with us.

My condolences for Reckful's death. It's kinda weird to see him die due to a suicide attempt, because one or two weeks ago I went to his youtube channel and I saw a video, whose title stated, that Reckful was overcoming his depression. I guess, he was feeling relieved only temporarily, but the real problem wasn't solved. RIP.

Will complete them tomorrow. I really hope those will prove to be challenging (as their name suggests). I really missed the hardcore linear adventures.

You forgot about all the censorship that happened in Hearthstone as well.

Still waiting for that un-nerfed Jaina, doubt it'll happen

I haven't, but, unless I am mistaken, certain hearthstone artwork got changed only because it showed too much female skin/body. Yu-Gi-Oh! is well known for its massive censorship of its cards due to one thing or another.

Its always slightly amusing to me how the entertainment industry is always reacting to world events by washing away all hints of cultural/gender/religious/political themes in their product so everything is as safe as it can be in a vain hope of keeping all sides happy and free from potential boycotts.

I'm a little curious. Does these industry even care enough to ask minorities if they are even slightly offended by depictions, themes, and images of what can only be a sliver of resemblance (if at all) to what they are or practiced?

The entertainment industry is strangely coming close to the disney romance where all minorities are universally adapted into heroic positions while all villains are as absurdly generalized as possible from any racial/religious hints.

    +1

I also don't mind historical references in (card) games, as, I believe, those could be used for informational reasons. Like, depicting or just hinting such events could kindle the curiosity of some individuals and they could decide to inform themselves more about those events (I know, that I would). That's why I would be really interested in seeing such design more often, but I guess not all people are open-minded and some can take those things personally. And, tbh, I don't blame them. A person has to be very careful how they approach such design - for example, it should be clear that the designer doesn't sympathize with the illustrated mistreatment and they are just making an innocent reference. But I guess this might not be possible, as everyone interprets those references in their own way and those could still find a reason to get offended no matter how innocent or well presented the said reference is.

Btw, you probably know this, but censorship is something very common for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, so for me it's not really surprising how Wizards decided to do the same to their own game.

Cleanse - Yeah, basically the effect. I wouldn't remove it personally because White and Black as colors are literally the mechanics of the game but I don't really care anyway

I think some people might have found the name "Cleanse" in combination with its effect inappropriate. I don't play Magic the Gathering, but I also assume, that "black" is some sort of a mechanic or a minion-type there and this spell is designed to remove minions of that type from play. The usage of the word "destroy" in that context is imho not really offensive, it sounds like a game term - same as in hearthstone. I believe, that only the title is problematic and, like I've said, it's only because of the context. I would also keep the effect as it is.

I've watched the trailer a bunch of times and I can only say this:

Now this is how you make a SUPER VILLAIN PRESENTATION.

You all remember that female Demon Hunter at the end of the "Fel vs Fire" video, right?

Same hair, same horns, same armor design. It's gotta be her.

    Nice catch.

Looks like I need to craft Raza the Chained so I can try this list! How does this fare in ranked play?

Well, last month I managed to hit Legend with it (forgot to take a screenshot then, but I will take one now, if I manage to reach it this month), but I don't consider it to be a good ladder material. Things like Chameleos, Thoughtsteal, probably Archbishop Benedictus and Madame Lazul are unnecessary. Popular Raza Priest decks concentrate on winning rather than stalling the game. They also use Potion of Madness rather than Shadow Madness, cuz it's cheaper, and they run more card cycle, in order to get to their win-condition faster. The combo itself (Anduin and Raza) is still very strong, so you won't regret crafting the latter legendary. If you care more about winning, then I'd recommend you pick a popular Raza Priest deck. If you want to have fun while laddering and you don't mind doing it slowly, then you could use the list I shared above.

Btw, even if you take a popular Raza Priest deck to the ladder, be warned that it will still lose to some popular meta-decks like Quest Mage (we don't have taunts) and Mecha'thun Warlock (that deck cycles faster than Raza Priest).
