Pretty standard game until turn-8, when I ramped up significantly. Kathrena's death -> Oondasta -> Charged Devilsaur + King Krush from hand was a sudden blast of damage they were ill-equipped to deal with.
I left the game soon after the release of The Grand Tournament, and I returned just as Journey to Un'Goro came out. By then, my GvG and TGT cards had fallen into Wild, and I had missed all of the Adventures. I had the money, so I bought each of the Adventures and dove headfirst into Wild content.
Nowadays, I love Wild because that's where all of my favorite cards are. Chillmaw, Frost Lich Jaina, C'Thun, Fire Plume's Heart, Rhok'delar; all sorts of fun stuff is locked away in the past. If we could just buy Wild packs with gold, I would be a happy camper.
My favorite card so far is Frightened Flunky, because I want Taunt Warrior to become a thing again and this looks like the card that'll help make that happen. Plus it's obviously Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
What we need now is some kind of weapon-Recruit card, to instantly equip a weapon from our deck. Either a Battlecry on a minion or a spell with some other enhancement on there; "Equip a weapon from your deck and give it Windfury."
Discovering it via Myra Rotspring is the first and only thing I can think of. Anka, the Buried is an idea but...why? They're not on the same page in terms of objectives.
Whether or not I have the money is the biggest factor lol. I like to buy the expansions, but lately I've been really broke. The decision has been made for me.
Beyond that, the expansion has to sell me as a whole in regards to flavor and mechanics. I love Mechs, and Magnetic seemed really cool, so Boomsday was an obvious grab. A Dragon expansion would be another one. I don't care about the meta, so it's a simpler question of whether or not an expansion tickles my fancy.
Between the 1-Health minions, the return of Murlocs, and the Reborn minions it needs for the Quest, the Paladin seemingly lacks the space to support any of these archetypes in a more significant way. We only have four class cards left to reveal, and we haven't seen a single Paladin minion with Reborn yet. I fear the class is being pulled in too many directions :(
I'm not a fan of the Quest being locked into this particular expansion, when the others are more open-minded like the old Quests. We have no indication that Reborn will continue beyond Saviors of Uldum - it seems quite unlikely, at any rate - so Making Mummies will be forever reliant on whatever Reborn minions we acquire in the here and now.
Brann is my favorite but even then they seem rather underwhelming. My interest in the set has taken a major hit; hopefully it will pick up after seeing the supporting cards.
My new favorite card of the set. Fire Plume's Heart is my favorite Quest, and could use more love.
Oddly enough, this card is even, so your favorite quest will have to look elsewhere for more love. Unless you do it without Baku, which I suppose is possible.
True...I did not originally run Baku, so maybe I can live without it again
I won with a Kathrena Hunter:

If you want to be really technical, Jade Spirit was the first Druid elemental. It just also happens to be a Rogue and Shaman card.
The stream worked on me, as my interest in the expansion increased after watching it. I wasn't on board originally, but I'm comin' around.
Moorabi welcomes you to the dustbin of history.
Paladin is getting a lot of random pieces this expansion that don't go together.

It's got my most favorite card in the whole game - Chillmaw - so you know it's worth trying ^_^
The Plague is weirdly anti-synergistic with Bloodsworn Mercenary.

Getting the effect out early via Myra Rotspring seems like the best-case scenario to me. I wouldn't play him for the full cost if I could help it.

Big Battlecry Beast Hunter? Battlecry doesn't mesh well with Kathrena Winterwisp or Oondasta, unfortunately.
