Awesome content, particularly as I'm currently grinding achievements in dumpster legend.
Question: I'm seeing guides for demon hunter, druid and hunter atm - is the plan to gradually add the rest of the classes and a neutral guide, as time goes on?
Yeah, seems to be working a lot better this week. I got this week's two free packs immediately after watching for four hours. Now all I've got to do is work out how I'm gonna make use of my shiny new Beastmaster Leoroxx
I decided to grind to 50, using any gold rewards to buy Barrens packs, after which I'd start to hoard gold for the August expansion - so now it's time to save and craft any remaining cards I want.
Legendary rewards have been Kargal Battlescar at 20 and Mordresh Fire Eye at 50. All in all pretty happy with my haul so far, as I've ended up with most of the key cards I wanted, plus some jank to meme around with :)
Just curious to see if anyone else is looking forward to this. Other than Hearthstone, Diablo II is the only game I ever played in my adult life - an impulse buy for the first pc I ever owned that turned into an addictive, immersive gameplay experience. I have a lot of good memories of triggering multiple corpse explosions with my bonemancer. I never buy games, but seriously contemplating picking up a copy of this when it comes out so I can relive those memories :)
Since the retirement of basic and classic sets, brawl rewards are now meant to be year of the phoenix packs, which contain cards from any of last year's expansions.
It's an otk deck. You play mozaki in the late game, spam a bunch of discounted spells, then obliterate your opponent's face with your insane spell damage and arcane missiles / frost bolts
Might be a good idea to raise all your hero to lv.60 to get all the golden basic cards, so you can get extra dusts when they rotated out.
You don't get any dust. You do get 235 cards for free, though
I think what this person meant was you will get dust disenchanting the golden basic cards, which will become commons.
Doing this means you’ll still have the non-golden copies. But 2 golden commons DE for a combined 100 dust. So with two copies of all 143 basic cards in golden, you DE them all for 14,300 dust, nearly 9 legendaries worth of dust!
Thanks, never thought of this. Time to grind mage to level 60!
Yeah, this article is about meme decks. That means the deck you're building probably isn't competitive, but it has the capacity to pull off a daft/unusual win condition. There's no way constantly corrupting Horrendous Growth just to slap down a massive copy of it it the late game is remotely competitive - either in BloodMefist's deck or my otk variant. The point of decks like these is having fun, not winning a stack of games. You should check out markmkz on YouTube to see some of the cool ideas that are out there :)
What level 50 reward portrait are you going to choose, or have already chosen?
I hit 50 last night, and can't make up my mind between Garrosh, Valeera, Gul'Dan and possibly Rexxar. Would be interested to know what everyone else is going for, and the thinking behind it.
No. The game still remembers that you've opened those cards before, so when you open packs from that set you will get any commons you haven't unpacked previously, after which any commons you open will be completely random. Sorry, too late to be helpful this time, but this is how it works.
Same here - disenchanted a golden polkelt and crafted a regular copy. I might disenchant the regular one for its full dust value though, as I don't use it in any of my main decks - currently only running it in quest hunter. Reckon if I do, I'll probably end up crafting it again at some point though - the card is bound to see play, both in standard and wild.
The mage packs are intriguing. Given that there's a 10 pack pity counter on most pack types until you open your first legendary, does this mean we have a 10% chance of opening a mage legendary in the pack we earn for completing the solo content?
In the last VS podcast ZachO was talking up funki munki's libroom build as a potential game changer for the libram archetype, but I reckon its probably too early in the post-nerf meta to tell for sure.
Yep, that
Great news, thanks!

Hit level 50 last night - no pass.

Could this have been what you got?
Awesome to see this type of brawl back again. Should be a go to brawl in the first few weeks of every new expansion.

If I read this right, it means it's still worth hanging onto them in case you open a sylvanas, ragnaros, etc when they get moved back to classic.

Thanks mate. I'm not much of a deck builder, but I can rip off a silas warrior otk deck as well as the next guy :D
Now, the $64000 question: do I stump up the dust to craft 2 x Horrendous Growth to turn my dreams into memes...
Sounds like a fun meme! I wonder if there's an otk variant that could be experimented with. Something like this:
Reduce your Horrendous Growth to 0 mana with Dark Inquisitor Xanesh
Buff your Horrendous Growth to 30:30 or more
And then, the combo:
Play Soulbound Ashtongue
Play Silas Darkmoon, rotating the Soulbound Ashtongue to your opponent's side of the board.
Play your 30:30 Horrendous Growth
Play Animated Broomstick, giving your Horrendous Growth rush.
Rush your Horrendous Growth into your opponent's Soulbound Ashtongue, dealing 30+ damage to the minion and your opponent's face.
All in, the combo costs 9 mana: 7 for silas, 0 for the growth, 1 for the ashtongue and 1 for the broomstick.
Whaddaya think?

No worries, happy to help :)

I don't have murgur or barov, so haven't playtested it myself, but it looks pretty sweet
