I cut the new taunt package that people are running because I find it to greedy as a whole. It's where I found room for the bombs. Plus, if you really need it, Frightened Flunky has a super high likelihood of discovering one.
Does that first point actually say that if you don't play Wild you aren't a real player? It seems clear to me but I want to believe that nobody is dumb enough to believe that. Also, you should probably give credit where credit is due, they've done a good job with nerfs recently.
This needs to come Stateside so I can farm Hearthstone for that Amani Dragonhawk mount. My little brother got one from a WoW TCG pack forever ago and I've been jealous for years lol
As the article says, it isn't a Blizzard Feature, but a NetEase Feature which is the distributor (not sure if that's the correct term but they essentially manage all the game's features) for the Chinese region. So Blizzard doesn't have much say in what they do with Hearthstone as long as it isn't malicious.
Well written article but I disagree with a couple things:
I don't feel like Pocket Galaxy Mage is a combo deck. It doesn't use any kind of combo to close the game out and win, it just kind of plays Pocket Galaxy and makes big tempo plays because the big minions now cost 1. So unless you're idea of a combo is Pocket Galaxy + any minion, then I don't see how this qualifies.
Secondly, I think Tip the Scales Pally does actually qualify as a combo deck. Since it requires a setup and uses Tip the Scales to actually swing the board and win the game outright.
Maybe we have different definitions of combo, but I still enjoyed the article. Great write-up!
To paraphrase Kibler, most hunter decks are fast enough to where you won't ever see every card in the deck anyways, you're essentially looking at your top 3 cards and putting one into hand and the other two at the bottom of your deck.
This is good because instead of just relying on the top card of your deck to be your last Kill Command, it can be one of the top three cards and you still kill them dead.
My ladder experience (NA 10-5) has been almost exclusively these decks. However, I'm not upset, 2/3 of these decks don't feel oppressive and I've been able to enjoy myself even when losing. A few times I've played against the priest and they weren't running Inner Fire or Topsy Turvy, so they'd start winning but had no way to finish the match other than me Conceding which irritates me.
Honestly, I think this is fantastic. I was getting bored of HS and for the first time ever I was considering not preordering. But watching Firebat and Purple play the new cards yesterday convinced me to come back to the game and preorder yet again.
This card is my favorite puzzle in Hearthstone. It is so cool to pick a card you want and try to imagine the situation where it is handed to you. Interesting thought exercises for sure.
I seem to remember that back when Zayle, Shadow Cloak was released they said his deck recipes wouldn't update like Whizbang the Wonderful's. I will go find some more solid evidence and edit this post if I find it.
I don't know, I think Brawl is undercosted for what it does and I find it's RNG style board clear to be really annoying and unfun to play with and against. It essentially acts as a panic button for Warriors on turn 5 where a high roll can be game ending for the opponent and a low roll makes it feel like wasted mana. I would rather have consistency in the basic and classic set.
Tip the Scales Big Paladin has been pretty fun for me so far. It's just a deck full of thicc bois and removal, drop Tip on 8 and pull a board full of Damaged Stegotrons, Tirion Fordring, and Ragnaros the Firelord

This is a fantastic budget alternative to the King Krush OTK deck. I love it!

Awesome card! Potentially re-enables the Shudderwock OTK though
You just play him as much as possible in the early to mid game then drop Shudderwock and he can bounce himself
