My personal motivations for adding Hearthstone decks to OoC is to share the knowledge about playing the game efficiently. This usually happens whenever I reach legend in any format or after completing a very difficult/annoying achievement. I am not making any money on Hearthstone, quite the opposite actually which I have no issues with. Hearthstone still is my favorite digital pastime.
Hi, it occurred to me several times in the past and today still that most of the Hearthstone decks on this wonderful community site are added by the same handful of people over and over again and very frequently. I am not going to name names here, nor do I really have to because it is pretty obvious which members are doing this (just look at the frontpage). Also, the reason is most likely to generate traffic to their streams/videos/channels.
Somehow this does not feel right/fair, but I am not even sure this is the best way to describe it. There are no restrictions set into place to limit this behavior and I am not even advocating for it, but I am just wondering about your opinion if you have any.
I am really trying to enjoy the new Twist mode, but the amount of recurring mobile disconnects is extremely annoying. Losing consecutive turns and even games is no fun at all *sigh*
I am also running into the same decks over and over again by the way. I am not suggesting that the meta has already been solved, but people have noticed the pre-launch theorycrafting decks I think.
That is really a bummer indeed. I wonder if the reason to replace Classic was strictly because the user interface did not allow it or whether it was also motivated by a financial one.
The recipe for making this new mode successful is having enough participating players which have to buy old expansion packs if they do not already own them yet.

I am currently dabbling into the other game modes to complete as many achievements as possible whilst passing level 300 on the Rewards Track later today.
I have always been a Diablo fan, but I simply do not have the diskspace to install D4 now, so I will wait awhile and be patient. Perhaps during the next sale, I will finally pick it up together with a new HD or PC ^_^
As linkblade91 mentioned, this intended behavior change was recently introduced in patch 26.0:
Your hero's Health will still be spent when playing a Health-cost card even if your hero has Immune (or Divine Shield). This also no longer counts as "taking damage" for other effects.
Not really convinced it was entirely accidental, but nonetheless a positive twist for fellow HS players who want to collect the DK skin for 1000 gold. Personally, I should have read the quest before deleting it first because I have plenty of gold to spare.
Kind of a separate question, but does anyone else do this? Once I hit 1000 wins, I hardly play that class anymore since I want to get them all to 1000 eventually. Feels a bit silly, since I now have a super sweet portrait to use.
I did this as well in the past, but not anymore. All my classes are above 1600 wins except for Death Knight which is only at 600 wins currently. The gap is really too big and to main a single class in a somewhat stable meta is just too boring for me personally. The 1000 wins DK hero portrait is also not that amazing. The one for Demon Hunter is though.
A Hearthstone podcast staple indeed. The Angry Chicken was my entry point for listening to podcasts and I have followed Jocelyn and Garrett for almost the entire running of TAC. They have incredible chemistry and the episode where Garrett announced his departure, even I shed a few tears. Always sad to see such amazing quality content come to an end, but hey that is life indeed, so true.

Anyone actually get any drops? I saw the event notification on his channel and left the stream on for the whole weekend, got no notification in the drops & inventory section on twitch
I am not sure which Twitch channel you "watched", but as I understood from Old Guardian you were supposed to watch one of the 4 casters streams. Since English was my preferred language to listen for, I put on FenoHS's Twitch channel and got my 4 Standard packs (aka 160 arcane dust) after "watching" for 8 hours in total over 2 days.
Sidenote: The Twitch drops page keeps telling me that I have to connect my Battle.net account, but luckily for me I do get the drops because the accounts are connected.

This is my first and probably only ever time day 1 legend in the New Age Twist mode.
It is currently the best deck in the format.

Good question, I hope they get replaced straight up which in my case I do not have to complete them once again, though I doubt I am that lucky.

Infinite wait times in the Battle.net shop. I guess Activision Blizzard does NOT want my money (for the Tavern Pass) after all?
Purchases are possible via the Mobile app, but that would use my own currency instead which is a disadvantage for me.

@Fluxflashor, You will receive 2 packs after watching a total of 2 hours, not 3 hours. The first pack has to be claimed inbetween though.
My drop timer is already at 80% for the second pack at this moment, so only 20 minutes left to kill the theorycrafting stream, lol 😋
