Such an interesting card. Provides some early board presence and grants a pretty resiliant body in Prime Form. The only problem is drawing the Prime version on time, but I think control decks can stay healthy long enough to draw this. Also nice synergy with completed Activate the Obelisk.
Haven't seen Stealth support since Gadgetzan. Surprising they are looking back at it.
Just as Da Undatakah rotates out. :(
I wonder if Magtheridon will awaken if you summon less than three Warders.
Northshire Cleric would become a Common card after being HoF'd, like it happened with Mind Blast and Vanish.
Interesting changes. Too bad I've stopped playing the game for like a month now.
I was one of people who downloaded the game way back in 2016 when it was in beta. It was mesmerizing. You had to think about so much more than in any other card game I've played - probably on par with MtG (that I've never played). You had to think about how you would create your own board and how to manage resources, as you could store unpsent mana to play larger cards and keep your units near mana wells which generate +1 income. But having to buy DLC to get more competetive saddens me.
Blame Defile for that. If needed, they could maybe change it's stats to 5 mana 2/2 to make it stronger overall and cure the Defile problem.
*laughs in Relentless Pursuit*
I actually don't think Necrium Apothecary is the main problem, but rather cards like Necrium Blade, as they provide pretty much an instant trigger for the Deathrattle. I'd rather see nerfs to that weapon, maybe switching its Attack and Durability to slow down the deck a bit.
Glad to see you having nice results with my deck.
I do agree healing is not the best aspect of this deck, which leaves it vulnerable to burst. You can tech in Greater Healing Potion if needed to gain some more sustain versus high damage combos you anticipate.
Twilight Drake seems like an interesting addition, because you do have around 8 cards in your hand most of the time. I do wonder what can be replaced for it tho. I'd say not much.
Btw, I do run Wyrmrest Agent in my base deck, so you didn't have to worry if you thought you included that card just because you didn't craft other cards.
I'm glad that you are close to trying out my deck. It's going to be a great opportunity for me to see if it stands out amongst other strong decks. It's still in flux, but the core seems to be working.
Right now, I've replaced both Azure Drakes with Big Ol' Whelp and Breath of the Infinite for Wretched Reclaimer. The 5/5 Dragon is basically Azure Drake, but slightly bigger, and Breath felt a bit underwhelming at times - same could be said about Chronobreaker.
There's just one rule to this deck. NEVER play Temporus if it comes out from Galakrond's Wit - I got into trouble by that card twice.
I feel like this deck doesn't benefit from cost reduction, although it sometimes feels good to have. Also, not sure what cards Fateweaver could replace. I'm better off getting Kronx imo.
Getting Fateweaver also probably narrows down my hybrid deck to one direction - either Dragons or Deathrattles.
Probably reaching rank 13 on an account I haven't played on after Karazhan and only after mid-July.
It should, but I'm skeptical man. xd
I actually think the Mogu Cultist combo doesn't work here, because while your initial Cultist costs (0), Echo copies will still cost (1). Same with handbuffing an Echo minion - only the initial minion gets the buff.
So I guess sadly dump out Glinda, Mogu and Demonbolt for something else. ;'(
Funny with Zerek ;)
I mean... there are hardly any ways to summon three Obelisks in Standard with only Priest being somewhat competent in that task with cards like Vivid Nightmare and Power Word: Replicate. In wild, it opens up a bit thanks to cards like Carnivorous Cube.
It's still very hard to pull off, and most decks should have a way to destroy at least one Obelisk by the time you pull off the combo. But 5 damage to random enemies looks fine, and maybe that is the intent of this card - to not go for crazy OTK shenanigans, but to possibly get some board control for at least one more turn.
EDIT: Following SoU launch, Warrior could also pull off the combo as soon as turn six even. Just play Obelisk on curve, pray it doesn't die, play Inner Rage on it and play two copies of the new Warrior epic minion - there you go.
Is it just me or does Queen of Pain look like Dreadlord Jaina skin from Heores of the Storm? xd
