I understand a lot of people are disgruntled because it's just the old game but with new graphics. I agree, beyond that, it's not too exciting. but for an 18 year old game that is still going strong it's a great revival for older returning players, and to bring in a new audience who may be put off by the old graphics. The core gameplay is fantastic, and it'll bring new life to the competitive scene, map makers and machinimas.
I got into WC3 around 2009 as a teen, fell in love with the quirky graphics, humourous animations, story and gameplay. As for Reforged, I'm not too keen on the art style they chose to go with, I wish they had kept somewhat closer to the original, but It'll be interesting to see how the game feels with the new "serious and detailed" art style.
I've not personally played yet, but I am looking forward to doing so, I hope maybe this will pave a way for a possible WC4. Events after Wc3 that we've played out in WoW from familiar and different perspectives, lore only seen in the books or content that wasn't fleshed out enough in WoW.
At the end of the day, I wished Wc3:R had played out more authentic and true to it's original, but I understand from the main market demographic and to bring in a new audience the decisions they made with the art style. Maybe I'll be back with an update after I've played some.
I think this artwork is rather old also, not yet defining his spikey green look. Also, possibly being Gul'dan when he is partially through his transformation from various demonic activities.
I just realised the new portraits keep their character posture from their original, I was wondering what felt kinda odd about Anduin. A lot of them are flipped, keeps it feeling new but familar. Really love these and looking forward to seeing their golden animations, Jainas' look's like its going to be awesome.
So I'm going to be playing Classic WoW as a priest with 4 other friends being Alliance side and on a PVP server. I've played multiple private realms so I know what I'm in for with classic.
I have a raiding background but I'm not going to be spending enough time to be doing any top tier raiding. I'm planning to do PVP, run high-level dungeon content and some minor raiding.
I'm pretty torn between whether to play Human or Nightelf My argument for Night Elf is that some of the players in my group haven't played since Cata or have only ever played for a short time, they get the general hang of it but there will most likely be some accidental pulls here and there. I want to be ready for any possible wipes with Meld and ress, wether out in the world or in the dungeons.
For Human I like their tasty 5% spirit, desperate payer is sweet too - but I really don't want to be kicking myself every time we have to do a run back to our corpses.
You've really touched on some great potential play styles that I would love to see more of, especially the portal cards and treant gameplay. I've played many rogue variations of the Beneath the Grounds and Fal'dorei Strider play styles; some time back I had an arena run with 3x Portal Keeper hoping to see more of it, thrilled to see it in your custom expansion!
Elusive is a great name, more so if they were to remove the hero power part. Sure it's fine for classes that have weapons to remove it, but it becomes a real pain for the classes that don't, considering the classes that don't have weapons will possibly be running a higher percentage of spells, at least they'll have a fairer chance to remove these card. (mostly thinking of mages) I think that's why we don't see so many of these "Elusive" cards.
As for "Can't be targeted by Hero powers" this could be it's own keyword too, could be added to a ton of older cards since it's a nice mini boost (strong early, nice perk late game) can't think of any names for the keyword but definitely comment some below if you have any ideas. Plus, It'd be cheeky on reborn minions
Love what MurlocAggroB suggested, you could really play around with that. Shamans could have relatively strong secrets; with the drawback of overload - if you know what they're going to play, you can choose to trigger the secret and lock their crystals on a pivotal turn.
Cheese, I'd like to see you make some Shaman secrets :)
I can see this being a thing, I can only imagine their development and design teams are heavily influenced at the moment with the Warcraft 3 remake in the works.
There are usually a few fresh character cross overs when something launches, for example, One Night in Karazhan and Legion launched in the same month, we saw mana sabers Cat in a Hat and Nightborne Pompous Thespian in hearthstone nearly a month before we saw them in wow for the first time. Now you've got to keep in mind the months of development before their launch, you might be onto something here.
Perhaps with the launch on WC3 coming closer, they will do a similarly themed Hearthstone expansion to get the hype rolling, that's be something I'd look forward to.
My sister loves succulents, I told her about this card back.
She said she's never going to use any other card back ever again :P

He started out as a skinny orc boi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3QJ8Pgjj3c
Also, for a good laugh check out what he looked like in Warcraft 3

Nice play!
Will definitely be trying this out.

Let me know what you think :)
Not played this map yet, love the little boat in the left bottom corner!
Ooh yeah that's a great card to get golden, great colours going on 10/10
Any Golden card that causes other cards to be golden is worth it imo!
This is incredible, I really wish I had the cards to play this.
How far has this deck taken you?
Can you add the strengths and weaknesses vs other classes :)
Thanks for creating this awesome deck!
Wow, the Dark Moon Fair one was not what I was expecting, it's very colourful!
I wonder if the eye moves?
Thanks for sharing these.
That's some tasty dust right there!
If only :)
Glad to hear they're releasing a new board, It always feels so limited in standard format, I like to see the variety!
Impressive theme throughout

Also, shame they removed the Enrage keyword too.

Oddly only had 4 cards, Perhaps I can win the lowest score? ;)

Maybe she's just saying something in Kobold? although "GLEN BECK!" did tickle me.
Also, what does Sludge Belcher say? that really used to bug me.
Spell and weapon cards OR cards from the latest Expansion receive an additional +50% increase in their appearance rate.
Before this was implimented I had a rogue game with x 4 Hooked Scimitar
ALL THE SCIMITARS!
This looks so fun!
