Everytime I fill The raft, I get [Snap Card (Galactus.) Not Found] I've had Knull twice and I think Giganto once, but every other time it was Galactus.

(Also, the Danger room's rate of destruction is 75% for me. I have yet to see one of my opponent's card die to it)

It's very easy to win games when you're still mostly just facing pool 1. New players, simple mechanics.

You'll discover that both cards and decisions matter a whole lot more as your collection level progresses. It becomes much less "just poker" and much more about properly predicting what your opponent is going to do.

And if you want 8 cubes, basically ever, you have to be able to surprise your opponent in some fashion. Otherwise, they will retreat.

Isn't poker about predicting what your opponents will do

Sure, and you can even win Texas Hold'em with a terribad hand, since you never have to show your cards if your opponents all fold.

But in Snap, the only way you get 8 cubes, or even 4 cubes, is by BOTH properly predicting your opponent's move AND also actually winning.

Because if they fold, you only get 1 cube, which definitely doesn't count as "winning" - unlike how it would be in poker.

I don't know. A lot of players will retreat even on an early Snap. There's never a way to guarantee 8 cubes. Right now, I have maybe 4 pool 3 cards. If I'm playing against someone who obviously has better options, I'm outta there If I see a snap.

So when you hit that wall collection level 500+ where cards are no longer guaranteed

The developers are expecting you to essentially pay money to guarantee free wins.

You cannot pay to guarantee card drops. I mean, I'd love to have death. But there's no way I can just pay to have her. I have to just hope she shows up.

People who have been playing since the alpha (Of which I am not one of) have more cards, which is normal. But paying players mostly have more Variants. (And Variants in this game are SO expensive that I'll never buy any)

I'm personally not seeing a reason to buy the season pass. Last pass season, Black Panther, isn't exactly ruling the Meta or even showing up in games.

As for the collector's box. They do have a pattern, but again, you can't cheat the pattern by paying. So how exactly is it pay to win?

Poeple generally don't care about getting every card. Just getting cards for the decks they want. So the Token store does even that out.

You are matched based on collection level, and there are enough players that the matchmaking won't hickup. Unless you play at 3:00 am.

Personally, I haven't paid for anything, and I don't see myself at a disadvantage. I win about as many games as I lose. A little bit more even.

In marvel snap your exact card selection and decks matter a whole lot less then the snap mechanic.

You run away for 1 cube and go all in for 8.

This determines more than anything your ability to ladder efficiently.

I got to Plat with Swarm and I got to diamond with Dino.

But just as easily you could go Odin.

There are no "good cards" in snap just good poker players.

So you'd run Misty Knight and Shocker in non patriot decks then? Or evenM'Baku?

Thats fair multiple man is my favorite card in snap, he's pretty much the only card that maximizes the potential of the location system and I'd love to see more cards like him.

But yes the deck is "bad" the predictability od henindal is one thing but also the disruptability just jam Fisk tower in the middle and you dont get to play, death, sanctum also problematic.

    Death? So it's a destroy/move hybrid

I know personally for me Darken saga pt2 in Lor was when I realized how low impact the new sets were.

Essentially you have the Champs who are meta defining and then you have the bulk aka everything else.

When before if a new mechanic came out it was actually game defining like invoke.

So thats fair I don't think LOR went down hill as fast Mogwai says but I think he's right about the ultimate outcome.

That being said, snap is new ans already has issues of its own.

I think killmonger and leader are problematic cards. There are a lot of really interesting and snowbally one drops that get invalidated by killmonger.

Likewise a lot of interesting six drops get invalidated by leader so that constrains the valid play space and deck building space and play styles.

So yeah my take LOR is a bit over the hill but Snap isn't this perfect amazing card game and has a lot of proving to do still.

WIthout Killmonger though, Sunspot and Human Torch would run rampant.

I don't like Heimdall decks because since he can only ever move things left. Your opponent knows where you're going, and only needs to worry about winning 1 more location.

Money does not give you any advantage only in pool 1 and 2. But in pool 3 it does.

    How? (I'm not there yet

Too many cards in pool 3 and very slow progress in collecting them. I think there are very few people who actually have all these cards, so the money will definitely give you an edge here. Do not forget that with money you can speed up the collection progress.

Well, you can speed it up a bit, but it slows down even for paying players, and the collector tokens make it so you can get a card if you really want it.

Saying that Ebony Maw makes DD bigger is not exactly correct. Any card you'd draw instead would do the same thing, except you'd have the option of playing it if DD isn't the right play.

    E. Maw is not a very good Card. He's barely better than M'Baku

    But glad you're having fun.

Do you have all the pool 1 cards?

Paying money doesn't give you any advantage in this game. So there isn't much difference between a paying player and a F2P one. Paying players may have one extra card due to the season pass, and more art variants because they have the gold to buy them.

Because I've wanted iceman for a while. I like both the character and the effect.

If you play her on a full location, she's a 3/7. Cap will be a 3/3 giving you an extra 4 power. So in theory they're equal, but cap doesn't need anyone around to get his bonus, he gets it no matter what. And if he's played alone, he's bigger than Rahne.

Though she can do bounce shenennigans. But I think that's the only time she's better?

When I unlock my final card. (Which is iceman because the game hated me), until I unlock my first pool 3 card, will I be matched against pool 3 players with my pool 2 cards?

If Ego comes up as a location, pretty sure it means the opponent has Agatha in the deck. I don't think it can even spawn if there is no Agatha in the game.

It's super rare for it to ever come up, in any case.

I took my first account up to 2200+ collection level, and I saw Ego less than 5 times total.

No, I watched 6 Agatha games, and Ego was in none of them. Its appearance is not related to the cards in your deck. It appeared because I played Scarlet Witch. (That girl has been ruining my games lately.)

I saw him last week and the opponent didn't have Agatha either. (Btw, who makes the decisions between Agatha and Ego?)

    Just retreat.

He'll just keep playing Sentinel over and over and ignore eveything else.

(Except Ant-Man. He'll put Ant-Man on a location by himself. Just like Agatha does.)

    I seriously hate that location.

I mean, there's enough randomness in the game without making an entire game random.

If both players fill it in the same turn, is it given to the player with priority, or do both players get a card?

Speaking of moon girl. Does she do nothing if there's not enough room to copy your every card in your hand? Sometimes she doesn't copy even though my hand isn't full. Is it an all or nothing thing or a bug?
