Congratulations fellow 9 golder!!! I caught the fever when my Lock went golden way back when and then got last one soon after the start of RoS.
Yes, once you decide to go for it, rank sort of falls by the wayside. I found myself mostly in the 14-17 range with the class I was grinding (had other net-decks for quick quest completions or used TB). At the beginning it is easier as you pick a class that's "good" at that point but eventually you find yourself more constricted. I feel sorry for those missing only Priest right now.
I started writing down where I stood with each class at the start of each expansion. Some fun info: I won 0 games with warrior during Witchwood and Boomday. I averaged around 160-200 wins per set.
My last one was druid. I had totally missed the jade train and lucked out with the recent rise of token druid.
I also found that I picked decks that needed to be fun to play. I accepted slightly below 50% decks so long they were fun. This might not have been as efficient but it helped with the tediousness of playing the same thing over and over.
I love these brawls. The only thing is that the first one I play is usually the one I become reacquainted with the decks thus not helping to optimize the teams' play. When you get a partner that also reasonably knows the idea behind these, they are soooo much fun even with a misplay or two.
Started out as extremely enjoyable for me. Now, I have hit two walls. Can't beat H3 with anything and the same with N4. I'm very frustrated at this point.
I've been getting a new one ripped - on NORMAL.... Sigh. After H3 continuous failure and now same on N4 I am glad I paid in gold and not cash. Leaving this mess behind.
Just came over from Hearthpwn. Wasn't much of a poster over there and don't expect to be here but hello to all. Will need my "get the weekly tavern brawl done quickly deck section". :)
Took forever for the packs to drop (closer to 5 hours for me). I got two separate 1 pack drops in game.

Yes, priest seems to go all out stealing cards/minions. So much so that your hand gets too clunky - quickly.
Warlock: still am not quite clear what the win condition is here. Rafaam is clearest but doesn't feel right as your minions are actually strong.
Mage, like Priest, feels clunky and designed around a OTK with 1 mana big minions.
Rogue is ok but super draw dependent.
Paladin is OP in this context. My losses here have only been to other pallies.
Are these the decks of the new mini-mech-Whizbang?
So, 1 pack for a warrior mirror. Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone please suggest best class for Heroic 3 and 4?
Finally finished N4. Still no joy on H3 (let alone H4).

Salty that I can't finish Heroic 3 or even Normal 4. Cruise to both final bosses just to get crushed after so much time investment...
This is (soon was) a great brawl. It is a shame that it was overshadowed by season end, nerfs/buffs, and GMs...
