I don't think the cost of Hallucination is any problem, just not having enough of them in hand, usually, and he fact it's tough to find good card draw...
Unless there's going to be some great Priest lifesteal or healing card I don't see this in priest, despite the turn 9-10 Plague of Death + an 8/8 or two potential.
On the other hand, warlock can really use this, Zoo (either the self damaging archetype or just the one that taps whenever it has the chance), Midrange, Hand-Control, Quest... The possibilities are endless.
Play Nether Breath on turn 2 to remove a threat and heal, play Crazed Netherwing on turn 5-6, and you're good against aggro if quest warlock taught us anything. As healing AND damaging yourself lowers the cost, warlovk can do great things with this. There are a lot of turns youd like to drop an 8/8 for next to no cost and can't because you have to clear/heal/survive. Too many times I had Abyssal Summoner in hand and not enough mana to summon her along with something else that helps me stay alive.
This can't be done as quickly as Mountain Giant. Besides, the only big problem with Mountain Giant was the existence of CC and LPG at 5 mana, none of which are priest or warlock abilities.
Going on with releasing giants is not "lazy", it's a theme - overcosted 8/8 which can be played for far less if you fill the requirement.. There were always quite a few giants on standard.
I enjoyed watching quite a lot, too bad Bunnyhoppor lost in the semi-finals and we haven't seen any GM cross-region match, but Leta's achievement is not to be taken lightly.
Also saw quite a few people not even bringing DH at all (have I mentioned Bunnyhoppor? Or the other two GMs in the top8?) and Alutemu for the first time ever, at least since he beca,e a GM, not bringing druid which was shocking, but adjusting your line up just shows his great understanding of the meta.
Also food for thought - your comment got downvoted almost as much as mine. I guess raising awareness to issues that are controversial (for some reason?) aren't well accepted here either.
I'm sorry, I might have missed the part when I forced you to read my comment. I apologize for that. You are quite welcome to report my comment if it upsets you so much.
I assure you those suffering from racism and discrimination can't separate it as it's part of their everyday lives, but by all means, feel free to ignore them, me, or anything you feel is not worthy of your attention.
First of all, thanks for replying, I don't consider it inappropriate or offensive.
Disclaimer - I'm a straight white male.
However, while I understand and in the past wondered why ALM is racist, while your intent may be equality and fairness to all, the fact is right now there is no equality, and as long as that is the case, we cannot demand fair treatment of populations that are already privileged before we make the oppressed, weakened populations have the same rights.
It takes the statement of BLM and making it about you (not you personally, you seem great from your comment) which is what the white community as a whole does.
It's like feminism - when people start realizing that feminism has nothing to do with harming men, we will all be better for it. I compare ALM to being anti-feminist. If you're anti-equality, doesn't that make you a bigot?
Good luck, Hadidjah. I actually never realized they were non-binary before this.
P.S. I cut down on logging in to Hearthpwn when they posted Blizzard's announcement about BLM and the comment section was so racist I had to report half of them and post one myself explaining why "all lives matter" is a racist statement (that comment got a record number of downvotes). They just posted this themselves, and referred to Hadidjah as "she". I logged in just to make sure my guess was correct, and lo and behold, it was.
So far my correction comment that mentioned Hadidjah is NB got 4 downvotes and counting. I'll probably monitor this for a few days and then neverlog into that sit ever again.
My point is: Thank you OOC for being an inclusive, nice, and respectful alternative to Hearthpwn. You were right to leave.
VKLiooon is the current world champion, and lost only a handful of games (not matches) in the championship.
Would like to see some more, but the fact she has a good chance to get to the World Championship again and maybe, just maybe, be the single player ever to win 2 championships in the game's history is quite exciting.
Doe anybody know the reason there are so many games off-stream? I mean, fine, you don't have to show the entire swiss every week (also pretty impossible as there are several games going on together), but not showing the preliminary games that determine who qualifies to Playoffs? I womder what's the reasoning there.
A lot of those people train together, but there is still a pretty large diversity, especially right after nerfs hit and between regions.
e.g. NoHands Warrior was quite popular, but variations of it were very different and some people didn't bring it (or warrior at all, sometimes). DH was likewise pretty popular but some players didn't bring that either and it also differed between tempo and OTK. Zoo was pretty scarce in Europe (and carried Swidz to some insane 3-0 series) but common in Asia.
By the time the meta settles and decks are refined you usually see less diversity, but there are still some strokes of brilliance from time to time (like HunterAce's Bwonsamdi in combo priest that took a while to filter through until literally everybody was running it). I think prt of Blizzard's high rate of changes are to prevent the stalemate that usually happens a month after a new expansion launches.

There was never a "choose your champion" for Masters tours, only when there were seasonal championships.
As someone who likes to watch these tournaments even post-twitch drops era, I feel like not streaming is a really bad call.

Thanks for that, that is great info that is hard to find anywhere (including the tournament site, which is absurd)
Nearly all of Shaman's wins are in mirror matches :)

Several thousand people would disagree with you.
