That looks like a good list as well. What do you think of Grand Archivist? Is it working for you? I was having mixed feelings.

Think I might give this a shot as well. Just spam mechs and finish with Spiteful. Might brick Jeeves with the high cost cards though, maybe just running Archivist + Nagrand Slam instead would be better.

Tar Creeper's time is long gone. You won't be able to stop todays wild aggro with that. But the deck seems like it has potential. Put more deathrattle synergy cards like sylvanas, or umbra.

Yeah, that was the earlier version. But way too greedy, you just want to keep pressure up and 1 or more eggs for AoE protection.

And Tar Creeper is phenomenal in this deck. Protecting eggs and your face. There is no better defensive 3-drop for Hunters.

I've been running a Deathrattle version. Thought about doing either beasts or dragons as well, but I had to try Teron Gorefiend so I ended up with this.

My stats from bronze/silver to somewhere in plat. Obviously not very indicative.. Didn't encounter too many aggressive decks, so this list works fine for now (and i like the greed - the first version was even greedier). Would probably remove Brann and Stitched Tracker next to add some anti aggro tools or something to increase early game consistency.
Was also thinking of adding a second Nagrand Slam and a Grand Archivist, I tend to either be almost dead or have board control at 8 mana so this might add some additional pressure.

Edit: I would like to see some other versions as well. The only reason I did a Deathrattle build was because I got stuck while building the Beast and Dragon versions. I would guess the Dragon version has the best chance against aggressive decks, while beasts would be something in between Dragon (anti aggro) and the Deathrattle (control crusher) build?

Teron Gorefiend is a must craft for me. Will be strong in standard and ridiculous in wild.

In reply to Day 1 crafts?

    3 new iterations:

    1. card: I like that you'd have to choose between the two effects. That said, the Rush part combined with the other effect is much stronger than stealth.

    2. card: I took the idea to add the beast tag like that from @Nirast . I like it and it's unique enough, but it looks weird written out.

    3. card: The simplest of the 3, expanding on the first iteration by making it almost impossible to kill. (also ignore the small font, idk what happened)

I like it, artwork and effect fit perfectly. Power level is fine as well, because it doesnt specify WHEN to play that weapon. You could make the minion itself stronger, if you made it a temporary effect like "this turn", but I like the current version more.

Definitely the Firestarter. Artwork and theme are good. But yeah, this thing is powerful and you can run two of them. Not sure if or how it should be nerfed.

Hmm, I'm torn between #1 & #3. But #1 would need a slight nerf as someone else already mentioned. 3 Mana 3/4 or 4 Mana 4/5. Maybe something like that.

I love that card. It would just be a bit clunky to actually use ingame. He's quite strong IF he works, but requires a buffed beast on board. I think a Buff is fine. Maybe reduce the cost to 8, so there is some room to buff something before playing him. Also, don't forget the Demon tag. :p

Effect is cool, but I'd drop the dual tribe. Plus, the artwork is kinda bad, try to find a good Felhound artwork. Plus, I'd swap Stealth for Rush.

    Quote From Demonxz95

I'd stay away from double tribes. In the context of the competition, it kinda defeats the purpose of the prompt.
    […]
As for the card itself, its secondary aura effect seems nearly useless as far as I can tell. It doesn't have Charge or Rush, so there's no practical way for it to be able to take damage on the turn you summon it anyway.

Fair enough, the dual tribe will be gone in the next iteration.
Hmm, I like the artwork personally. It's not a Felhound but a.. well, Phase Hound. See here. They belong to the family of Darkhounds. I want to stay close to the Warcraft universe personally. Which also explains its effects. "Phasing: Like the Warp Stalker ability, becomes untargettable for a bit."
It was meant to be safe from damage, so it could be buffed next turn, but there aren't any Demon buffs in Hunter, so giving it the Beast tag was the first idea that came to mind. Phase Hound (or rather Darkhounds) are Demons & Beasts and are treated as such in the WoW TCG apparently as they are a Warlock and Hunter ally card.. not that i know what that means exactly, but that seemed very fitting.

Are multi-tribe cards allowed, as long as it is a demon as well? Was thinking of making a Demon/Beast.

edit: something like this for example

sry for scuffed photoshop, hearthcards made two rows out of that

is it just me or is there actually still some variety left in this? facing different decks all the time, or is that just matchup luck?

yeah, i wouldn't want a Raza unnerf either.

but i could live with it, if Yogg returns to his old glory.

Yeah, it's a bad deal for people that go for complete collections, but it is a "good deal" for people that mainly play one class.

Some f2p or people that "main" classes could reliably get cards for their favorite class. It would greatly reduce the $$$ needed to "complete" your collection.

Even better, if they added the possibility of buying them with gold. As someone who plays mostly 1-2 classes, I would pay 200g for one pack of my favorite classes.

(if you ignore that the price tag is f-ing ridiculous) these packs should exist for all classes. and not just for real moneys. very good for f2p or people that "main" some classes.

i personally only ever play 2 classes because of f2p and time restrictions so it feels really bad to open the usual packs containing mostly cards i won't ever use

Even if it needs lots of improvements, Battlegrounds release was a very welcome surprise.

Looking forward to the return of Adventures from the early days.

Seems pretty f2p friendly, but also time intensive. 7(-14?) games with slightly weaker decks/longer games will probably take quite some time.

My guess would be that it'll be high value per expedition, but maybe not the fastest way of acquiring rewards? Not sure.

    Anyway, looks fun af.

looks cool, although I'm not sure how valuable discovering dragons is without the class discovery bonus.

Yeah, not being able to consistently discover Emeriss hurts.

But it's still decent because of poisonous, so I guess it's fine.

I was already running a control/grind out odd Hunter in Wild, this will give it some much needed strong early game. Can finally take out those Fireflies that were just in for consistency and mana efficiency.

Even though I would consider this to be in the top3 hunter cards this expansion, I don't think it will see regular play (atleast not in the popular/tier 1 decks).

My guess is that Secret, Mech and Master's Call Hunter will be the 3 contenders for the top Hunter Deck. This doesn't fit in any of those.

Mech Hunter doesn't run any beasts and Master's Call breaks its synergy by including it (which is really sad, it would be the one to profit the most from it).

Secret Hunter could use it to copy the new Hyena Alpha or some other beast you might run in there like Lifedrinker. But seems a bit inconsistent, it would be kind of a highroll thing. EITHER you draw it and the Hyena until turn 3 (I don't think you would keep the Wildtamer in your Mulligan) and copy a Hyena Alpha to snowball for 2 turns OR you have a mediocre 3-drop until you draw another beast. Even if you get lucky like that, you might have to play other 3-drops ( Eaglehorn Bow, Deadly Shot ) on turn 3 first to not get snowballed yourself. And then on turn 4 you don't want to copy your Hyena, you want to play it. You might also accidentally copy Subject 9 lol. Lastly 3 drop spots are already contested by top tier cards in Secret Hunter.

That said, this is a pretty strong combo, so maybe it'll become a tech for some matchups or something. And there might be some new Hunter archetype that can use it to surpass the big 3 Hunter decks. I'll definitely run this in some combo Hunter myself, will be fun.

ok secret hunter is a thing again in standard.

Secret Hunter is already a thing, it is just one tier below Mech Hunter, which is the reason why you basically never encounter it.

It is already a really strong deck, I think it'll beat Mech Hunter as soon as the best version of it is found. Depends on the Meta of course, but this card is just THAT good.

This hero power and Hunter's basic hero power do the same thing, which is finishing the game, but they accomplish it in a different way. The basic one grinds out the opponent, while the quest one is combo based.

The quest hero power reduces your card count by one and you have to build around it with atleast some sub-par cards. But in return it affects the boards and allows comebacks. Also it basically being a reusable combo card makes it hard to predict/play around for the opponent.

Really hard to evaluate.. but it has a LOT of potential for sure.

How does this interact with Master's Call? I know you wouldn't play them together in a deck, just wondering.

I know that it always draws 3 unique beasts (as long as you have atleast 3 uniques of course), because discover only shows unique choices, so there is a chance for a spaghetti code interaction here.

My guess would be it doesn't reduce the cost of anything, but who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
