Hello again people! You guys seemed to like my previous WCDC spotlight, so I am doing it again. I am going to be trying to crunch these in before the end of the season. I decided to skip the treasure for now because I have no experience in those. Sorry for that, but I don't have any ideas how to review them. Instead, you get to see some copying cards. I chose this comp, so I really want to share some cards that fell under the radar that I thought deserved attention. Into the shadows!
Like last time, if you want to see more cards or check out the scores that these cards got, here is the link.
Quite literal! I love the "add a 1/1 copy of a minion" cards. They feel nice to play for me. This one is no exception! Cheap, you can set up a combo with Malygos or Edwin VanCleef. Or add two more copies of Legendary you got from another class to your hand. One of my favorite cards of this comp.
A less-controlled Splintergraft that adds a much cheaper and weaker copy of an enemy minion to your hand. It is an good card to play though, adding it when it dies at a later turn when the copy is playable versus add a huge copy to your hand, but let the bark rot for a turn. As someone who tried to make Gloop Sprayer work, I applaud you.
Cheap and the additional effect adds a vanilla minion to your hand. That is a great effect for Silence Priest. You can silence one of your "can't attack." minions, then adds an already silenced minion to your hand. Value!
Wow, another Priest card. Actually, there were 11 Priest cards made in this comp. I know that is their thing, but come on. That is 1/4 of the cards submitted. This one is the coolest one I have seen. Allidar adds a minion to your hand, and then if you are a totally big dragon (with a claw with the same durability than KNUCKLES MADE FROM TENTACLES and even less than a freaking STICK) you also get a copy on board. Even better if you get a big minion. I feel like this is a pretty good card and feels like Priest.
This card has some great Untapped Potential. (yes, I said it) For 2 mana, you can get a spell you played AND heal your face. Spell Druid could use this at anytime. How in Yogg's holy name did this get barely a 3 though?
Thank you guys for reading this. I will try to do 7 next time to show more. Tell me which comp to do next! Suggestions, comments, questions and concerns are always welcome. I'm a one-man band, so that will help me cater to you guys more. If you guys can share this to other people, that would be great! Happy voting for the finalists today. See you back in the shadows. Until next time, palaam ulit!
I want to ask for more feedback for my card. What did you vote and why? What could I have done better? And what should I do better next time?
In the interest of honesty I gave the card a three, although it could have been a four I suppose. There's nothing inherently wrong with the card, I would say, but I didn't find it particularly novel or exciting. It's alright, in just about every aspect. Alright flavor, alright balance (maybe a little strong), and alright creativity. I imagine some would find it un-fun, though, as I said originally, so that might have hurt the vote.
Thinking back I noticed I've been pretty harsh in my votes lately. Something I need to think about/fix on my end.
Honestly, a lot of people vote way, WAY too harshly in here. It came to a point where I’m hesitant to rate cards at all, because my ratings just plummet relative to the ratings I give other cards.
That being said, a pleasant surprise to be in the finals, GL to everyone!
Agreed. When I looked back on past prompts for my new card highlights, I can not believe how many great cards end up getting low scores.
That is the plan. I don't really have a schedule for them. But don't worry. I will get them out. Maybe start drafting 1.02 tommorow. I am bumping the total to 7 for now to show a bit more since people seem to like it. It will be out of the dark when it is done.
Hello, everybody! I know I'm a lot late of doing this - this comp was back in February! But it hit me on the head a few days ago. No one else is doing this, so I decided to start it off! There is a rule I have in place - I will pick from strictly non-finalists. I just want to highlight good cards that people either voted low on or and give them credit for it. Sorry if I don't included your card. I just chose one that are interesting and/or neat.
By the off chance you want to look at some cards I didn't show here, here is the link.

This week was to make a card that used a mechanic (or two) from the Year of the Dragon. Simple for the first comp.
Sinti made this great sidequest that settled at a score of 2.96. I don't really don't know why was not higher. Fit some Big Ol' Whelps or a Faerie Dragon or two and BOOM. A free weapon. As for the weapon selection, it is great during AoO era (Demon Hunter improved that by a lot). Arcanite Reaper, Assassin's Blade, and the Wrenchcalibur would be good equips for this. Any DH weapon as well, they are pretty good. Even if you get a 1-attack, it gets buffed anyway.
An improved EVIL Conscripter? This can add up to 4 LACKEYS to your hand. Fantastic in Rez Priest (which I hate with a burning passion) as a legitimate target for a Psychopomp. That means lots of Lackeys. Just what Priest needs.
After being utter trash in KotFT, Moorabi walked home, dusted off a old notebook and opened it up. This is the result of that thinking. "If I freeze everyone and make sculptures of them, they will learn to respect me!" Powerful and just good in general, I might as well. An advantage this card has over Moorabi is that IT IS ACTUALLY GOOD. You don't have to waste a freeze, this card does it for you. Plus, you get lots of value at a later turn when all the big minions are played. A fantastic card in my opinion.
Ahh, Druid. How I hate all of your stupid trees and lightning bugs. And to think, I used to be one of you. Anyway, this is good. A little more expensive Treenforcements, but can be cast twice. Reborn acts kind of Soul of the Forest with a cheaper cost. Solid card to support Token Druid.
An explorer for a class without any. Huh, seems kinda of good. Priest currently has 5 class Dragons to play with. A great nab would be Skeletal Dragon, which can generate some more. They recently got a Dragon support card in AoO and this will fit quite nicely with it.
Overall:
And... done. I really hope you enjoyed looking these. Just wanted to share some lesser-seen cards that are good to the Fan Creation Community. If you guys really like this, I might do one for 1.02 at a later date. Treasure! And yes, I purposely picked a card that showcased each mechanic except Plagues and Invoke. Graggle was too OP for my tastes (sorry thepowrofcheese). Paalam at magkaroon ng isang kamangha-manghang araw!
Came up with this yesterday. It works like Renounce Darkness. Replaces your Hero Power and any class cards in your hand and deck. It then does it for your opponent as well.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
All I want to see is Mecha'thun return. He still might be there, so who is not to say that he is in charge of the Rusted Legion?
Thanks a lot. I will look into it.
I also think that the 2 mana 4/4 is the best. It just screams Millhouse.
One more hour to vote people!
No problem
I personally like Ritual of Rejuvenation or Allidar after that one.
And yes, yes it is.
Thanks!
Thanks! So far I have done this one and How To Train Year Dragon. Yeah, I am pretty far behind, but I will get it done.

That looks a lot better. Great job.
Welcome! You'll love it here. A former rookie to rookie.
Like link said, this is way better off as a Warlock card. This is kinda of a mix of Recycle and Chaos Gazer. I like the card, it has great potential.
Possibly, I will give it a thought. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks! I agree that there are some fantastic cards don't really get the attention they deserve.

So, I really didn't think my last card through. Oh well. At least I can cross a meme card off my list of cards to make.
Yes. As much as I despise the effect, yes, it is legal.
