Not worth it for me. The only other game i care about is Diablo 3 and i only play it rarely and alone. The cosmetic stuff from that game doesn't really interest me. I only care about the gameplay. I do own Overwatch but i bought it when i was trying to get into FPS games and it simply didn't work. I just don't like the FPS genre. I should have learned that a long time ago when i played Half-Life and didn't enjoy it but i was drawn into the hype around Overwatch. Also, as many have pointed out already, it's a little bit too late to be selling Darkmoon packs. Their value has already diminished a lot.

I hit level 50 today after weeks of playing suboptimally. The new cards helped a lot because it gave me a new spark of inspiration and i went to ladder after a long time. I took the Mage portrait as i enjoy playing the class and i don't have any for this class in particular. The required experience after level 50 drops a lot and i started earning some gold regularly which feels quite good.

It's clearly an exploit. An oversight by the developers led to an opening in how the game operates certain things which can then be abused for an unfair advantage. It's something that tends to be fixed even in single player games because it leads to the game being played in a totally unintended way. It's cheating in a competitive game like this. It doesn't matter if it's something big streamers or regular players do commonly. It's still a way to get an unfair advantage over the players that don't do that kinda thing. This is not how the game is supposed to be played and it's not allowed in an actual official competition.

Why not have both? More options means more flexibility. And as i said in my other comment, tokens are absolutely horrible against many builds nowadays. Pirates in particular are going to destroy you by just farming the tokens for stat gains mid combat. Floating Watcher is anti-synergistic with Mal'Ganis but it still benefits from the other usual demon buffs after that point. The faster early scaling of the card also allows you to stabilize a little bit more easily in the mid game. Yes, Floating Watcher is a bad discover if you are not playing demons with Wrath Weaver which makes it very limited but removing it will only make demons a lot weaker instead of helping the tribe. And taunt builds are still hopeless regardless of the addition of this one extra taunt to the game (and it's not really a good taunt if its health is lower than its attack). I don't know. I think they should have kept it in the pool for now.

I have seen people playing Floating Watcher and having success with the card several times. It's certainly not great but it is not irrelevant. This token direction isn't good, in my opinion. Tokens in general have become pretty bad due to power creep. Token strategies can't hope to compete with elementals, dragons and murlocs. Pirates and the Goldrinn beast build just eat them for breakfast. Mechs can only use tokens for refreshing Deflect-o-Bot because Junkbot is... junk. And Soul Juggler is strong early on but falls off a cliff really fast and can barely tickle the enemy board in the late game. With Floating Watcher and Bigfernal together, demons had at least more chances at gaining enough stats to compete with other late game builds. Soul Devourer might work with double battlecry but i simply dislike the fact that they keep adding cards that only work when abused with Brann.

I don't understand why they are removing Floating Watcher. The card enables a bigger pay off for the whole self-damaging thing with Wrath Weaver. It's also the tribe's second biggest scaling card. Demons are a lot weaker now and Wrath Weaver also became worse. Soul Devourer is interesting but it requires a demon with a decent size in order to become relevant. I guess it refunds the gold which makes it technically free...? So, it's like a free +3/+3? It sounds incredibly underwhelming. And Ring Matron is just a Savannah Highmane for demons. These changes look like nerfs to a tribe that doesn't warrant any right now.

This is a really powerful effect. It basically forces the opponent to clear your board in the next three turns because if anything strong sticks then it could swing the game really hard in favor of the Paladin. Also, if you don't have a board and need some immediate protection, you can cast Air Raid and it should give you two 1/1s with Taunt and Divine Shield.

While this is alive on the board you basically upgrade your Hero Power to give bonus health to your minions (like the quest). There's some really decent potential here but it seems to fit mostly in Midrange or Tempo Priest lists and we all know that those don't really work right now.

Pretty decent early game board clear that scales well with spell damage.

Interesting anti-fatigue card. It's pretty slow. Primes are slow cards as well so it won't be great unless the game slows down and burn disappears from meta. But burn strategies probably aren't going to disappear so... yeah. I doubt this will see any play outside of memes.

It's okay. There are some really terrible rolls (Guardian Animals and Commencement, mainly) but it will generate something useful most of the time. Five mana is a little bit costly so she might not see much play until rotation.

BG is very popular. They are going to monetize it harder, eventually. I believe that the gold will become more important for the mode in the near future.

I have been avoiding constructed completely for a while and only playing Battlegrounds. It feels even worse when you re-roll the 1000 exp quests (most of them can't be done in BG) and get stuff like "Draw 30 cards". I have to re-roll again on the next day and that usually leads to another 1000 exp quest. This can easily become an unbreakable cycle and i will be forced to play constructed even though i don't want to. Also, the fact that the 5 wins in ranked makes up to 20% of the total exp is absolutely ludicrous.

The cost increase is going to have a significant impact on Edwin. It makes him slower, it makes Shadowstep worse and reduces the potential for those big early game swings. The nerf to the weapon is going to slow it down as well. It will deal less damage and it will prevent Dread Corsair swings. It will still be strong but it should stop it from choking the meta. This won't make me want to play ranked again though. The nerf to Elistra is pretty harsh but she is too strong as a tempo play which isn't supposed to be her role. She is a tech card and should be used for this purpose only.

Seems like they intend to abolish the Hall of Fame. Since Edwin is rotating then this pretty much means that the entirety of the classic set is getting rotated. I don't know what they are going to do but this is a major rework of the game as a whole. The first step was the economy (partially). Now, they are going to target what makes this game what it is: cards and their mechanics. I'm not enthusiastic about this. The whole Battle Pass fiasco just doesn't inspire any confidence.

I hit level 43 today. I'm not putting any effort into grinding. I'm deliberately re-rolling the 1000 exp quests into 900 ones because they are easy to complete and can be done in Battlegrounds. I skipped the 2500 exp quest from last week because i don't want to play ranked. I'm totally tired of the game and i'm playing only the bare minimum required. The fact that i got around 6 levels in a week (around 30000 exp) while playing like this probably means that the system got a lot faster, overall.

I got a decent amount of dust from the duplicates i had and 1600 extra from my golden Polkelt. I crafted a regular copy because i believe he will still see a ton of play.

Gallery Priest was my favorite deck when it was available in standard. I tried to make it work using deathrattles and it was a fun experience but the one that ended up sticking was the OTK version with Malygos and Prophet Velen. I started playing Wild during Ashes of Outland to escape from the never-ending nightmare that was DH and this was the first deck i built. It's way too slow to compete against the other OTK decks and dies easily to the aggro decks of the format but it's a lot of fun when it works. Sometimes the Mind Blast OTK win condition fizzles and then you have to work out a miracle through Lyra the Sunshard or The Lich King. Those are the most interesting games, actually. The ones where Mind Blast gets the job done are over quite quickly without the opponent doing very much. Creating a beatdown strategy through smart usage of the Spellstones and cards created from Lyra and The Lich King is very satisfying.

I'm almost at level 39. Things still seem incredibly slow. I'm only playing Battlegrounds (ranked is in a horrific state again). I dedicate around two hours at most. After each game i gain a little over 100 exp (bless the Deck Tracker for the new exp bar) and each game can take over 20 minutes. Seems to be mildly within their stated exp per hour range. But, without quests, it just feels like i'm simply not getting anywhere in this system. Playing simply doesn't feel rewarding at all. The 10 gold per 3 wins would help alleviate those feelings a lot. It doesn't help when games are over extremely quickly and you lose by taking 20+ damage from someone who just got all the luck. If i go to the ladder, i'll get run over by some Evolve Shaman or DH. I'm simply not having enough fun playing this game anymore. And if i stop playing, i'll fall behind indefinitely. I'm feeling trapped.

Isn't this card one of the first sources of infinite value in Runeterra?
