I'd be happy with Achievements that give out cards, packs, card backs, etc. I know there are achievements coded into the game, because we got them for reaching certain levels.
I'd also like to see some kind of reward to make the replay-ability of the adventure modes more desirable. At the current state, you play it once and you are done. By adding some kind of reward for doing it each time (cards, or dust) it would make doing the mode over again less like a waste of time.
Actually, a Lore and Legends area on the site would be awesome now that I think about it. Goliath could write about all sorts of stuff then, not just lore. He could dump in things about individual races, weapons, gods, individual heroes...etc.
I got an email from Blizzard trying to entice me to dust off my classic character in WoW by instantly leveling it up to 100. Which, may work for most, but for me not so much. I'd rather live in the nostalgia of when I was in my 20's drinking beer, raiding like BWL/AQ crazy. Then I got another email about the classic only server getting ready to open up. I almost took the hook, but then I realized I am married with 4 kids, and I couldn't delicate the endless grinding hours for it. haha
Those email did bring me to a crossroads in my brain. I was stuck thinking about the endless hours of vanilla, and my 7 - 10 minute Hearthstone matches I try to squeeze in when I can.
I started to wonder what good expansions they could bring to Hearthstone from the vanilla days.
Here are my top 3:
First one that came to me was Dire Maul for some reason. An Orge Expansion would be fun, could also tie in to the ruined night elf city.
Second was Darkmoon Faire. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't been done yet. That place was always fascinating to me. Travelling band of gypsies peddling their wares.
Third would be an Alterac Valley type of deal. That place was a crazy pvp. Totally fluid, and a pvp holyland. I remember epic battles outside of Tarren Mill which isn't to far from the zone for pvp queue as well.
I was unlucky enough to get the first hunter quest back in the day. Now as fates would have it i got this one too. As much as I try to like it, I just cant. I find that everyone else gets their quests done by round 4-6, and I'm still trying to flood the board with minions and pray that I have enough steam to OTK. even with Swarm of Locusts on turn 6 i still feel like I am behind the power curve.
This card is truly disappointing. Dropping battlecry cards, healing, or not spending mana is so much easier, and obtainable, while providing much better results.
This piece is a great read. I played WoW in vanilla, up to Cataclysm and stopped shortly after Deathwing melted my face while questing. Mentally I feel like I'm still invested in the game, by living vicariously through 7 minute increments in Hearthstone.
This lore is a reminder of the reasons why I started playing Warcraft Orcs and Humans back in the day.
Keep up the great work, I look forward to more articles like this.
I don't know about you, but I pay attention to the cards being played, not the card backs. I very rarely see anyone with the older card backs anymore. I used to roll with the Blackrock Heroic one or Naxx Heroic for the longest time because I felt cool. Now I realize it doesn't really matter to anyone except me.Which is why mine is set at random, because it doesn't matter if I had the paid versions of card backs, or the limited release ones. It doesn't change game play, so I am all for them re-releasing older card backs.
5 years from now if someone wants the WC3 remastered back, and they have some event for it..sure I'm for it even though I PAID for it. Go ahead Blizzard, bring that sucker back and let people earn it. See what I did there...EVERYONE is EARNING it. It's not being GIVEN away. Earning it makes this situation different. Some people played for a few days / hours to get up to rank 20 to get it back in the day. Some people will play a few hours or days to get it now. Logistically, I feel that it's pretty much the same time/effort. It's apples and oranges, different fruit, but still fruit for people to enjoy. We don't need the card backs altered to show difference.
Would Releasing Lunara Or something of those sorts for an play to earn EVENT be acceptable since people got it for FREE just for showing up? Or would they still be mad? Probably the latter, because people want to complain about everything. That's the point that disgusts me the most.
This topic of hatred reminds me of the "Back in my day, I used to walk a mile up hill in the snow both ways" jokes. Ego's are ego's I guess.
What about the turtle loa? Granted the blood troll dudes killed him. I vaguely remember him being resurrected though.

Do it. Do it now.
Are these going to be put into their own section of the site? People really seem to like this stuff. (Myself included.)

wood working is a hobby of mine. I love this card back, and totally agree that it should be an option to have it constantly show.

I like it too...I just don't understand why it's a sea of dunes. I figured i t would have been more.....sandy.
Back when I played WoW, this would have been a cool pet.
Except this is for Minions in your hand. Bolster boosts minions on the board.
If this attacks a minion with Reborn does it continue to attack them after they respawn since it's the same minion?
You Disappoint me Reno.
I was going to say something along those lines. haha
I'm more curious on the Foe Innkeeper 2.0x3000.

Trade Only?: Yes, you go first.
