Good nerfs, that in addition to the new expansion will definitely shake the meta, which it's been stale for too long. I guess Galakrond Rogue is dead now. They can't afford to play a 7 mana card that for that turn only gives them 5 armor and (maybe) a 5/2 weapon. Also drawing 1 mana backstab and shadowstep sucks.
Also DQA, this nerf should be enough to push her out of the meta
It's weird to see that such a massive event like this patch has just 5 comments. I get it, the game is new and has not the numbers of HS, but I would expect more people following it.
I started it less than a month ago and I like it every day more and more. Plus you can get a full collection for free, how can something like that don't appeal people?
HS on the other hand, maybe it's because I played every day in the last 4 years, but I grew sick of it and its meta and random bullshit.
I feel bad for Moagwai that won against Swim but because of the timer (and Swim roping) ended up in a draw and didn't even make it to the top8. I'm happy for Kibler tho, my favorite HS streamer by far margin, and performing well in this game too. CardID or NameBADCARDNAME
Pretty rad animation, but doesn’t do much to sell the game.
The game itself has a somewhat polished look and feel (when opening packs, some of the rightmost card is clipped off the edge of the screen on an iPad Pro - doesn’t feel especially professional), but I don’t think I really like it. I bought the starter pack, but have no idea what I got in there. It just sort of said, “You got it”. I mean, what did I get? I get a dang light show every time I open a crappy free reward pack, but I spend $5 and...nothing? Weird.
As for the gameplay, it seems needlessly over-complicated to try to be like Magic with all of the instant effects and back and forth - and for its part, it handles this well without much clutter, but Hearthstone showed us we didn’t need all that, and this definitely feels like a step backwards. Also, I just don’t care about any of the characters. I wasn’t a WoW fan before Hearthstone, but I instantly fell in love with the cute menagerie. LoR is trying to score some Murloc points with their Pomos or Pokos or whatever, but it just doesn’t work. And - this may sound weird - but I feel like the inclusion of the MtG blocking mechanic actually REDUCES the strategy element. I mean, there should be a lot of decisions to make with instants in hand and whatnot, but something about how quickl the games play out means that all of that imagined interaction just doesn’t materialize in most games - not like it did back in my Magic days. Sorry, Riot, Hearthstone just beats this hands-down.
I actually think that HS finally found a worthy opponent (pun intended).
I downloaded LoR two days ago to take a break from the Demon Hunter bullshit happening in HS right now and I've been intrigued pretty much immediately.
The game play is very different (I would say way more strategic), RNG is way less relevant and visually the game kicks ass. One of the thing I liked the most is the possibility to look at the full HD artworks of the cards. They are absolutely gorgeous.
The freebies are really a lot, and the game is really intuitive. I went 7-0 in my very first expedition attempt. Then a 5 wins.
I do agree tho on the disappointment for the starter bundle. Was expecting some flashy animation, instead nothing :(
The Glaivebound Adept nerf is really incompetent. NOTHING change with the card. It's not like i don't want to take 7 damage to the face but 6 is ok, i'm just gonna ignore it. You HAVE to kill it or you are pretty much dead. They could have increase the cost, lower the damage dealt, make it target only minions, decrease it's health to make it more easy to deal with... no, atk decreased by 1. Truly, TRULY incompetent.
I'm worried that DH might be too week after this round of nerfs. Not because I play the class (infact, I find it extremely boring and I have only played something like 10 games with it), but because is my best matchup by far with highlander Rogue (8-4 at legend). Yes, Altruis must be addressed as it is way too strong, but that on top of the battlefield, the glaive guy and felwing might completely kill the deck. After all they easily run out of resources, if you manage to keep your health high not falling behind in the first turns is a cakewalk
WHy my Mecha'thun deck getting hit too... you know replacing Bloodbloom by couple of Galvanizers will reduce consistency a lot
This is also what I'm most sad about... Mecha'Thun Lock is a very honest and balanced deck, AND fun to play
Darkest Hour Lock is neither, so why not change Darkest Hour??
Balanced and honest? Seriously? Draw, draw, heal, draw more, destroy with eggs and plague of flames and hope my opponent doesn't have dirty rat and if he does, that he doesn't hit mechathun? I hate that deck so much
What about twin slice? That card is absurd and enables alone kaelthas otk as early as turn 6.
I forgot... Priestess of fury. Seriously? A better ragnaros that can attack, get discounted and be played on 5 and clearing the board while also hitting face? It's simply disgusting
So it can only kills 1 health minions. Seems pretty useless. If only had taunt, but as it is doesn't seem its good enough for modern Hearthstone
I just hope they bring back Tess Greymane. It was fair but most of all was fun. Thief Rogue it's an archetype I would be happy if it becomes permanent
Great, considering I pulled a golden Mindrender Illucia
I don't see a Mage deck not running this guy... Extremely good
Do the welps count towards Priest's Ungoro Quest? I don't think so since they gain the DR afterwards, but if so it would be nice
Nooo, not Kripp again. Last time was awful. Why not the good old Kibler?

In the end I bought it, despite I said I wouldn't as a sort of protest against blizzard choices in the last months...
And it went super well, 3 legendaries, two of them golden..
Still way too good. Should have been 1 mana for 1 atk, and the second 0 and +1 atk. You might even argue that this is a buff
Despite how cool she can be, I'm gonna pass.
1) Since Ashes of Outland huge disappointment I'm at war with Blizzard.
2) I hate demon hunter with passion
3) It would be only for the skin, I only miss a few bad legendary from AoO
4) LoR became my main game in the past month and a half
Third Gangplank here I come
