Been distracted by other games the last 2 months, didn't get as much hearthstone is as I wanted, had to catch up to get the mini set. But now that's done. Got 15 legendaries in total. Been having a blast with the Dark Alley Imp-Possible* and Secret Thief Rogue. Infuse has been fun and locations are interesting, been a good set so far. Also the puns this time are 10/10.
*I play Imp Warlock in Wild but with mostly big imps in Dark Alley Pack.
Perjury looks so fun. I've been playing a secret thief Rogue and it's been real fun. Not the best win rate but recasting secrets with the Stash is satisfying.
Halkias is super fun. The stealth really improved this card. Being able to play it out and know it's relatively safe until your next turn is so nice. I've been running it in a thief rogue deck using Sketchy Stranger and Contraband Stash to keep secrets active. It's been a lot of fun.
The Relic buffs also felt great, however I still feel the other 2 relics aren't good enough baseline. Once the upgrades go it's fine but 3 mana for some 1/1s without rush, eh. I tried it with deathrattle and with the no hand stuff haven't found a good spot yet. Still giving it a try though.
Glad to see Celestial Alignment changed. I like the idea of the card but a druid can get back to near 10 mana in a turn while playing out an entire board and the opponent having 1 mana/1 card turn to try and counter it is dumb. Making it to just effect the caster makes it a fun combo enabler without being an I win button.
The rest seems fine. Snowfall is interesting, the freeze is still powerful enough I think.
Buffs I love Relic Vault getting cheaper. Love to see what they do to everything else. Relics are cool but so slow. Edwin is strange but okay cool, I am sure that won't break anything. Curious what they'll do with Paladin and Warrior.
I do kind of wish the nerfs and buffs were in separate patches. The nerfs could be good enough to help other decks pop up. Throwing the buffs in just might over do it. Not that they aren't needed but to much too fast is bad too. We shall see.
I still have enough dust to craft 2. Not sure what exactly I want. Envy is hilarious though. Can steal some very fun stuff. Shut down a few mages stealing the new KT because they ignored him. Oops.
I was thinking the same thing. I love Overlord Saurfang. Maybe combine a big Warrior with the Location for easy triggers on some big Frenzy guys then Saurfang to bring them back. I keep trying to make him work but never quite enough.
Or do a more agressive line with Warsong Envoy and Razormane Raider with some handbuffs from the extractor. Could be real fun.
I'm excited for Tome Tampering. Definitely gonna be busted in wild.
Standard I really don't know what direction I'm going. Everything looks so fun for the most part. It'll all be down to what I open and then crafting to round out a deck or two.
Scuttlebutt Ghoul is kind of a forgetable card in the set. Whenever I hear people talking secrets this set it's mage and rogue for the new stuff. Never thought of it for Paladin but with handbuffs that card is definitely better than it looks. Not sure it'll beat out the pure stuff but still a strong option.
Great article. Love these weird cards. I had not seen the reprint of Mana Crypt, love that art.
One with Nothing is the type of weird card I love. Just trying to get it to work can be so fun. The look on your opponents face when you play it though is so worth it.
Up to 175 as of today (w/ TP). Good enough. I got about 4k gold too which is a lot for me. Almost 4k dust as well. Colossal and dredge have been real fun. The theme of MCN really got me and the puns! Definitely excited for the next set. Curious where they go with the mini set from there too. They hit a lot of random dungeons and other zones for characters. Could be anywhere (The Maw or De Other Side are my hopes).
Kryxis the Voracious Love Deathrattle Demonhunter. I actually love the soft discard stuff they got as well. Seems really interesting for outcast manipulation.
Such a strange card. dont get me wrong 0 mana CLASS legendaries tend to be good. Still strange that paladin is taking other legendaries, especially as a pure mechanic. Yes you are inviting them rather than stealing them as Rogue does which is flavorful. However like others said Smite and Varrian are staples. You might even use Mutanus or the new Mad Lad for some disruption. Might mean this gets stuck inactive from time to time. Even when it does go off feels a bit slow.
Doesn't even say "targets enemies if possible." Probably lame.
With the amount of Buff spells druid has that would be awful. I think you may want to play this as a finisher while you have a board. Or maybe a reload with all the draw spells available. With standard druid spells it does not seem to be meant as a Rune or Yogg "oh crap" button

Nathanos is my favorite card od the set. I love big and deathrattle hunter. Definitely be trying to make this guy work day 1.

I love the Tauren designs. Making them play off locations feels very fitting. Looks like a fun idea for a set.

Warhorse Trainer also felt good. Though I miss Lothraxion the Redeemed the Buffet Biggun is a good start.

I stopped watching the Anime years ago, but seeing Weevil get beat down is still satisfying. Thanks for the clip!
I had the most gold I've saved for most expansions this time. So I did pretty good. About 50ish packs opened so far.
First Legendary in my first 10 Golden Lady Darkvein
After thatPelagos, Murloc Holmes, Orion, Mansion Manager. I'm not on the paid track so the Holmes is welcome, fun to play with that card.
Freebee of the rewards track as The Harvester of Envy.

Busy week I didn't pay enough attention to the WCDC as I usually do. That spirit tamer has a great effect. Glad it won.
That new KT looks great. Probably my favorite of the new ones.

See you all in the castle!

Tome Tampering just looks nuts in wild.
Imp King Rafaam I love rez effects. Them calling out imps specifically seems like fun to try and break.
The suspicious cards seem entertaining. Trying to guess what the opponent took is a fun subgame.

The flavor this expansion is 10/10. I can't wait to see the token for this. Hilarious.

The new Legendary Dragon makes whelps on nature spells. These should trigger her immunity. So it may still be worth.
I assume how this will work is "choose minion or spell" then trigger the discover.
Looking forward to this, seems like a fun build around spell.
