Am I the only one that thinks the legendary is insanely OP? An almost fully stated minion that's also sticky to play around opponent's removal. If its deathrattle was summon a 2/2 I would assume it would be played in every priest deck, but it can get much bigger minions as well?! I can imagine a situation when no-one wants to play any medium or bigger sized minion against priest without also a silence in their hand.
My first game after the patch I went murlocs and got an easy first place, no other army was close to mine by the end. I think they maybe have the strongest late game of any tribe, it's just that you rely on megasaur on 6 and don't have anything on 5. If you can get brann + a couple of megasaurs though, giving everything divine shield, poison and windfury plus at least 60 health on everything is an easy win. I think the patch has helped a lot surviving long enough to do that.
Using the brawls as part of the story for expansions is a fantastic idea. Also the general quality and amount of content in the brawls has increased dramatically. When I realised just how much effort had been put into that blackrock mountain brawl a few weeks back I was a little bit in shock that it was a free event. If this is half as good as that was I will be very happy.
Firstly Cornered Sentry is often played in wild dmh warrior, Fel Reaver has seen play, Hecklebot and Bittertide Hydra have seen a lot of play.
More importantly, it's a design decision to make the game not feel terrible to play. After totem golem and 4 mana 7/7 they found that over-stated minions played on curve is just really boring to play against and extra depressing if you don't happen to have the correct removal in hand. Personally I find the cards that do see play such as cornered sentry to be balanced, as they are useful in some situations but don't show up in every game.
...but golakka crawler is a fully statted 2 drop? I'd rather play a vanilla 2 mana 2/3 than a 4 mana 4/4 any day
