This card did not receive good support so it's actually trash.

When talking about their favorite Mercenaries, Celestalon picked Varden Dawngrasp, while Matt London sided with Guff Runetotem and then teased Xyrella's Questline as one of his absolute top cards.

I'm hyped about what are they going to do with the Xyrella's questline. Matt London said that it may be his favorite card in Hearthstone.

I totally agree with you. 2 mana Heal 3, discover a spell is awful. Paladin had a 2 mana spell, heal 4 and draw a card, and Priest should be better at healing than Paladin.

If they nerf the cost of Renew to 2, they have to make it heal 4/5. Otherwise, the card would never see play again, it would be omega awful, and lately they've been nerfing cards by little adjustments, they have been so cautious about it, not just: OK, LET'S DOUBLE THE COST OF RENEW AND LET'S DIVIDE THE STATS BUFF OF APO BY TWO.

What are you talking about? They recognise that Priest is not in the position that they wanted it to be, and that's why they are creating a complete new archetype that wants to make Priest more proactive and less reactive/generate infinite resources through the game.

The 99% of the fanbase is not against Priest, stop telling lies.

To say that they do not see the problem with Priest and that they won't do nothing about it is a lie. Blizzard should not balance a class because you hate it or not.

They will reveal Shaman/Warlock/Warrior tomorrow for sure. But they may reveal the Neutral unnerfs on Thursday and then begin the reveal season next Tuesday in order to make the reveal season last 1 week (if it releases on 23rd, that I'm starting to doubt it).

Libram Paladin has a lot of cards with strong synergies with Libram cards and broken cards for this deck like Lady Liadrin (mega refill) or Barov. It's not even comparable. Priest has no synergies at all. Blizzard knows that Tempo priest will never be a thing, they know it, but still gives tempo cards to them without giving it draw. It's like they want Priest to be bad on purpose. I'm getting tired of this.

Tempo Priest has been a great deck before, so this idea that Blizzard is just pushing a junk archetype rings false to me. Back when the Boomsday Buffs came through (Summer 2019, I think), Buff Priest was hugely effective. (Here's a video from Kibler about the deck from July 2019.) The deck was so powerful they had to un-buff Extra Arms.

You're right that tempo decks rely on synergies, and that was true for the Buff Priest too (e.g. Grave Horror's synergy with cheap buffs), and they need decent card draw/resource generation. The landscape has changed, but there are some corollaries that suggest this could be a real deck in Year of the Gryphon. Crimson Clergy replaces Northshire Cleric, Voracious Reader replaces Acolyte of Pain, Power Word: Feast replaces Extra Arms, the Grave Horror spell synergies see some replacement with the self harm tempo package (Raise Dead, Brittlebone Destroyer, Flesh Giant, and Soulbound Ashtongue).

It doesn't look exactly the same as Boomsday's Buff Priest, and it doesn't look exactly like Libram Paladin, but there are a lot of good building blocks here, and it wouldn't take much more content to push this archetype over the edge.

That Buff Priest you are talking about was great because it had finishers. It had Cleric and PW:Shield that let you draw a lot of cards while winning tempo and the most important part: Divine Spirit + Inner Fire. That combo let you finish the game in one turn. Right now priest has no finisher in order to win the game. If they clean your board, you are out of the game.

It is confirmed that they removed Mind Shatter...it was not necessary to bring Shadowform from HoF if they were going to eliminate the most cool part of it. It just does not make sense to reduce its cost but eliminate the Mind Shatter part. I was so excited about Shadowform returning but this felt so bad.

I love this kind of posts and this one is pretty well constructed, well done!

I think that you are right with almost everything; as you said before, I think the 10 mercenaries will be released in this expansion.

I will focus on the Priest mercenary because I love to play Priest. I'm fine with a Draenei being the mercenary for Priest because it's a wonderful race and I've always loved how Draneis look. The only problem that I have here is that the devs said that they wanted to give Priest the Shadow archetype in the core set and in this expansion and the future ones.

I don't understand too much about Wow, but judging every Draenei card released in HS, I think that they are more Holy-related than Shadow-related, so the Priest mercenary would be a Holy Draenei, and it makes me a little bit sad because I want them to focus on the Shadow archetype they said they would implement in Priest and I think that a legendary for this archetype would be needed.

Do you think that there is a possibility of a Shadow-related Draenei Priest legendary? Or do you think that if Dranei is the mercenary race chosen for Priest, he/she will be 100% related to Holy?
