    Here's my two cents, my take on Stormwind Quest Warrior. I hope it will by somewhat viable (not necessarily in this iteration, I am hopeless deckbuilder :D ).

    Article itself is on point and I fully agree with all of it. I personally hate lowrolls on quests (and frankly, a few months ago I had another spreadsheet where I tracked my 50g and 60g quests, it was that bad). Its stupid that reroll of 1000xp will always give you 900xp, but it won’t work the other way round. Because of this I never ever reroll 1000xp quest, and I’m also hesitant to even play the game when I’m on the low roll.

    As you can see in class distribution, I encountered only 4 paladins with score 2-2 (iirc 3 of them were odd) and 3 Demon Hunters (all odd) with score 1-2. These hyper aggressive decks can be a problem, either you have an answer in hand, or you are dead.

    Here's simple table in Google Sheets where you can compare gold gain in all iterations of Rewards Table with old system (according to your playstyle):

    Just save it to your Google Drive and fill info about game length, winrate and time played daily and pick version of Rewards track.

    I do not factor XP from achievements and duels and assume 1000 XP per day from daily quests.

    Lol, is this for real? If so, it's another nail in the coffin. It is possible to complete them in Duels (with all the craziness of that mode), but not in the only constructed mode in which you are actually not punished for doing silly stuff. Oh Blizzard, give me a break.

    Don’t tell me this guy posted this on Twitter and didn’t get flagged for misinformations. This is wrong and misleading on so many levels. Let’s crunch those numbers, because as he says “discussion involving math can get difficult, sometimes”, so I'd like to help him out!

    Let’s take a look on his hypothetical player that plays one hour a day, because no one with work, personal life and family won’t be playing more than that. I’ll be generous and let him complete all daily quests for 1000 xp and all weekly quests. That’s 120*1000+17*6000+120*1*400=270000.

    Achievements do not belong to this equation, because many of them are behind a paywall of epic and legendary cards (in fact this is the case for 10300 out of 14800 xp from Darkmoon Faire) and the rest of them require a shitton of your time to complete. This rule also applies in full to all Duels achievements. 

    So what do we get for 270000 xp? Our happy number is 6750 gold. But are we happy? No, not really. In old system we’ve got for less effort - remember, there were no Weekly quests,  only Daily - 120*60=7200 gold. But wait, there was also gold for winning games. Let’s assume we won 50% of our games and the average game lasts 10 minute. That 10 gold per hour makes during the expansion cycle 120*10=1200 gold. So in the old system we’ve got 8400g vs. 6750g in new Rewards track. Don’t you feel robbed? Not mentioning that with a better winrate and shorter games gap widens.

    And that frontloaded packs he mentions? Does he mean those 3 packs, which we’ve been given for years now at the start of expansion along with free legendary? Back then it was bonus legendary quests, now it's part of rewards track, how generous.

    What he forgets to say is there will be miniexpansion in two months and Blizzard provides us no extra resources for it (in fact, less). It’s ridiculous.

    This system is horrible and needs to be fixed, otherwise there will be no Hearthstone for free to play players (but this also hugely affects people who pay for the game).

    We were later reassured that we don't lose any of our gold in the introduction video about new system (starts at 3:24).

    And we were lied to in the face.

    About old pack - in my opinion old packs are not equal gold. You need gold for new packs at the start of the expansion to stay competitive and old packs are in fact worthless for the matter. With this new system we get significantly less resources to get them, but it also forces us to work harder to gain fewer gold (all new Weekly quests). On top of that, there will be miniexpansion in the middle of an expansion cycle, that siphons hundreds and thousands more gold from our already thin pockets.

    This new system is disappointing and provides significantly less gold to almost everyone. On reddit there are many complaints about it (including mine).

    I know this is a little cheating, but I post here my old standard deck from February 2019, which is now very "wild". Back in its prime it brings me from rank 12 to 5 in 18 consecutive wins. Those were good days :-)

    Since I play on wild only from time to time with limited collection I don't have any other competetive decks for that format.

    Favourite moment of 2019: Blizzard giving my beloved Tyrande for everyone. This always has been the hero I wanted most but sadly my country was not eligible to claim her back then.

    Looking forward to in 2020: I'm anticipating big changes in the game, something that changes standard format as we know it (like rework of Classic set). Well, not exactly anticipating, but certainly hoping :-)

    Textless cards have no chance to be played on ladder, in arena though it's a different story.

    Cutest card in expansion, but combination of murlocs and dragons is super weird. Buffing your Scion of Ruin on the other hand...

    Tech card against freeze mage, lol. To see constructed play there must be tons of people playing mage, which is not very likely. At least it has good stats for arena.

    With bigger health this could be serious card, at 3 it's too easy to remove. And besides of stats this card does nothing. Not worthy to play.

    Better Fire Plume Phoenix or more accurately SI:7 Agent for dragon decks. Great tempo card, budget dragon decks are shaping really well.
