After the 4g finished downloading it just started downloading a small patch. I have no idea what happened but it seemed to delete itself and re-install then hotfix update itself. <_< Feel like we have some spaghetti code disaster happening.
The 'Victorious Podium' mechanic is really neat. I like the idea of shifting a certain type of card one up in your deck. Still random, not quite a tutor, but a hardy probability shift card.
It triggered my system saying it needed to install it all over again. Ok, I said. Then it had me sign in. Ok, I said. Now it says it needs a 4g download. Ok, I said. Now it's frozen at 1.85g downloaded. >_>
Looking forward to Omnath picking up the last black color in a future expansion. I like how that character keeps evolving. If you want to get really weird maybe one more appearance after that as colorless.
Goes without saying but if you have the mastery pass or are close to a reward make sure to clean that up before Thursday. I'm not 100% sure of this but I think on login when a new set rotates you get 3 new quests so clear out the log before then too.

Ancient Greenwarden + Fabled Passage = 4x landfall procs in one turn. And since you can cast lands from your graveyard you can just play fabled passage each turn from your graveyard so long as the Greenwarden is alive. I believe is you manage to have Azusa, Lost but Seeking in play then you can manage fetching 3 lands a turn and have 12 landfall procs by repeatedly playing the same Fabled Passage from your graveyard.
Some are absolutely going to be super power houses. The blue counterspell will likely be a staple in most mono-blue decks. Some of them are great tools to avoid dead draws. I think you'll see a lot, though many of them for specialized decks.
Sky Ruins is yum. Great way to reclaim a board. Think it's too hefty in cost for mono white unless it's a heavy control deck, possibly with the new auto-win angel card.
It's kinda Blue's thing. Control, bounce, counter, draw, flying. It's like playing HS and complaining warriors are getting new weapons.
That being said a one mana counter is pretty damned powerful. Even before the party mechanic it's disruptive as hell to tempo and rush game that plays mostly on curve till they're spent.
