Imho 5 mana is a bit overcosted (the best price would be 4, see Evolving Spores). I know that in wild paladins have a lot of synergies with Divine Shield and with dudes (odd pala), but I am not really sure that they would run it in their decks. It's just too slow.
If I had to guess, I'd say the justification for having it cost one more than Evolving Spores is that the adaptation is guaranteed and, perhaps, the strongest one you can choose.
5 mana is pretty steep but having fallen in love with the Divine Shield paladin hero power in DH, it may turn out to be more powerful than a lot of people think. It's just one more reason your opponent can't let you build a board.
Having fallen in love with the paladin Divine Shield hero power in the Dalaran Heist, I'm glad to see Righteousness introduced in the paladin classic set. A 5 mana, the cost is maybe too steep to see much play but that will depend on future cards. I hope not because I really like the idea of the card.
Not to me they wouldn't. I'd keep my golden card. But I acknowledged in my OP that a lot of people would just dust their goldens. But if it's an adventure you pay for, so what?
I would love some sort of two-on-two team mechanic.
I don't know quite how that would work and I imagine it would be a logistical nightmare. But it sure would be fun to be able to play Hearthstone 2 vs 2.
One thing I've always wanted to see Blizzard do is to give us a solo content adventure that, upon completion, allows you to turn the card of your choice into a golden version of itself. The reason I want this is that I've always wanted a golden Tiron Fordring. Sure, I could spend 3400 dust on one, but that's a LOT of dust for a card I already have. A nice thing for Blizzard to do would be to allow us the ability to turn any card - just one - golden. And, sure, some people would do it just to dust it, but that's fine, too.
What do you all think? And what card would you make golden?
Mech hunter was already the top deck in the current meta and the mech buffs only made it stronger. it sucks but I'm not salty about it. Every class gets its day in the sun.

Mine started out as a name for my main character in WoW. Warangel just seemed like an appropriate name for a retribution paladin. From there it became the name I use for pretty much all my gaming endeavors.
I'm playing mech paladin because I love paladin in general but that said I don't know that I'd craft anything special for it. Paladin just isn't in a good place right now. Maybe the buffs will help a little but I'm skeptical. We're at the bottom of the meta as a class right now.
I have an easy solution for players that rope ... I surf the internet. I never let it bother me, I just use the time to do other things while I'm playing.
What is it that makes hearthstone, and only hearthstone bring out the worst, most destructive and pathetic behavior in me? Is anyone Feeling similar?
As far as games go, they don't get much more emotionally-safe than Hearthstone. If you're triggered by emotes ... I don't know what to tell you. Maybe play Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

I cracked it. Turns out that paladin + divine shield hero power + minions cost half as much + handbuff minions + battlecries trigger twice = easy win.
7 1/2 billion people on Earth. Odds are some of them are going to be shitty. Damn DDOS attack.

Tried it twice now with the paladin and came up just short both times.
I'm perfectly okay with a mechanism that, when you choose to turn the card golden, makes it undustable.

Once there's a way to easily distinguish standard decks from wild (and maybe there is and I'm missing it) this site will have everything I want.

Silver Sword is an interesting choice. It's one of those cards I LOVE the idea of but often turns out to just be too darn slow.
Holy Wrath OTK paladin. It's too slow, and doesn't work effectively enough, for a steady ladder climb, but when it does work, it sure is fun.
