Good idea, I'll go survey those sets and see just how many mechs they had compared to others.

Edit: Slightly under half of the minions in Boomsday and GvG are mechs. A large portion of them neutral. Some classes have no mechs, though most have at least 1 or 2. Some are entirely mechs, like warrior in boomsday.

I'll let this guide me, and start trying to include more non-demons.

Hey thanks for all the feedback guys.

One Eavesdropping, maybe it should be more clear. If you guess correctly, the card leaves their hand goes back into their deck. It's like a preemptive pyschic scream that makes you test your knowledge of your opponent's deck. Any suggestions on how I might word this better? I tried using Curious Glimmeroot as the model and that has confused people.

Too many demons. Possibly! Its my goal to add more non-tribe minions and minions of other tribes. Hunter is currently a 'good guy class' or maybe more anti-hero, its using demons to fight demons. Paladin is similar, with a redeemed dreadlord leading them and the shackled dreadlord being the only demons I plan for that class and lots of focus on silver hand recruits and various effects that interact with legendary cards.

Shaman I think will be based around the observers, the behold rip-off guys. Their crazy eye type stuff seems perfect for overload cards.

Warrior will be themed on Doomguards and also Fel Reavers (which are mechs). But it'll be part of the Legion invasion group.

I need suggestions for Priest! I've been thinking about Voidlords? But I also think priest is a good candidate for a 'anti-legion' class.

More tweaks and cards coming today and this weekend.

Oh hell yeah! I was having problems making cards that use Silver Hand Recruit in the text, since it bolds the Recruit keyword. Thanks for this tip!

This all seems really cool! The only glaring issues I see are Lothraxian and Whispered Secrets. Lothraxian is blatantly overpowered since you're essentially adding a 4/4 body to an already good card for no extra mana cost, which makes him as good as a seven mana card while costing 4 mana. You could solve this by upping the mana cost or making him add Truesilver to your hand instead of equipping it."

Yeah, it's power creep, for sure. Truesilver Champion itself doesn't see a ton of play. If standard has a better 2 or 3 mana weapon, that typical gets chosen instead. My thought here is that the paladin set will have a lot of weapon synergy, which could easily backfire and cause a lot of weapon removal. I'll consider other variations, or even entire other concepts for the character. Thanks for your feelings on this one, it'll probably see changes.

    Quote From CursedParrot

Whispered Secrets doesn't functionally make sense, since if it's a Secret it should have a trigger. You could solve this by either just making it a normal Spell (taking away the part that says Secret:) or making it say "Secret: When your opponent plays a card, put a random secret into the battlefield." The "from any class" specification is unnecessary since random already means "from any class."

I need to think over the wording on this card more. I want it to go into play as a Rogue Secret, since this set will add to the 3 existing rogue secrets from KnC. I also want it to trigger secret synergy cards, like secret keeper. This was like the 2nd or 3rd wording I've used. I'm going to think over your suggestions and try to pin down the perfect wording.

    Nice, I like it.

But all legendaries will be demons? It seems so strange.... There isn't a demon hunter or something like that in the lore?

Do you want this to be a evil only expansion, like Rise of Shadows, or a double team like Witchwood?

Some classes will be themed on fighting against the legion, yet they will still be led by legendary demons. Paladin will has the redeemed dreadlord Lothraxion and Hunter will have the iconic Demon Hunter himself, Illidan. Still trying to find the right themes for Hunter, as well as Priest, who I think might be also in this 'traitor demons fighting the Legion' category.

And there will be legendaries that are not demon minions. I think there will be a mix of legendary spells and weapons in some classes, along with non-demon minions. And some Neutral legendaries won't be demons.

The Burning Legion has returned! The Dark Portal has opened and once again the forces of darkness seek to conquer the world. My idea for this set started by wanting to create a legendary demon for each class and expanded from there. Warlock has always had the most demon synergy, but now the other 8 classes will have their iconic mechanics twisted by the dark influence of the Void.

The set is nearly complete, only missing a few neutral commons, rares and epics. I appreciate feedback on this stuff.

    New Keyword: Burning

Burning minions slowly destroy themselves, using their own bodies to fuel their fel magics and powers. Weapons can also have the burning keyword, they lose durability instead of health.

    Pre-Order Hero

A new hero skin for hunters, Illidan Stormrage!

    Pre-Release Event:

    The Dark Portal Opens!

A week before the release of Invasion of the Legion, all players receive a free legendary card, Medivh, the Accursed! Now all classes can tap into the twisting nether, drawing power at the cost of their life.

And now that the Dark Portal is open, Warlocks can begin summoning all sorts of new demons! All players also recieve two golden copies of the new common, Open the Dark Portal. Not only are they golden and the demons created golden, but starting with this release event, they will create new Demons from the set before it's full release!

    Single Player Content:

    Rain of Chaos!

Rain of Chaos is a new single player survival mode. Similar to Dungeon Run, Rain of Chaos puts a twist on the format by condensing it to a single match Survival Mode. The objective: last as many turns as you can against unending enemy bosses and their decks. Defeat a single Demon Boss and another immediately replaces it! For beating each Boss, discover new cards to shuffle into your deck.

As a reward for beating Rain of Chaos with all 9 classes, you get a free Legendary minion, Isaac the Acolyte. Similar to Whizbang the Wonderful, Issac will give you a random premade deck recipe, picked from 1 of 9 different demonic decks!

    Druid

Xavius, firstborn of the Satyrs, uses the demonic influence of the Legion to twist the trees  into evil forms.

    Themes: Treants, Satyrs, Poison, Lifesteal

    Non-Collectible Tokens

    Hunter

Illidan the Betrayer leads other demon hunters against the Burning Legion.

Themes: Stealth, Rush, Limited Windfury, Weapons

    Non-Collectible Tokens:

    Mage

Kil'jaeden the Deceiver has empowered his Blood Elf servants with great power.

Themes: Casting spells with Health, Empty Decks, Mana Crystal stealing/destruction.

    Paladin

Lothraxion, a redeemed nathrezim, leads the forces of the Army of Light against the demonic invasion.

Themes: Weapons, Imprisoned Demons, Divine Shield

    Priest

The renegade Voidlord Dimensius has empowered his servants with dimensional shifting magic.

Themes: Deck Shuffling, Card Copying, Minion Copying/Stealing, Strange Removal.

    Non-Collectible Tokens

    Rogue

Tichondrius has corrupted the goblin prince Gallywix. Together, they plot and scheme to overthrow the morals of Azeroth.

    Themes: Secrets, Stealth, Poisonous, Coins

    Non-Collectible Tokens:

    Shaman

Two renegade observers, the fleshwarper Collidus and the legendary pirate Patches,  have teamed up to undermine the demonic invasion. With a crew of warped and freakish servants, they will unleash chaotic magics on unsuspecting demons.

Themes: Amalgam type minions, devolution, overload synergy, RNG chaos.

    Non-Collectible Tokens

    Warlock

Archimonde, master of the Burning Legion, leads the invasion of Azeroth.

Themes: Demon Summoning, Board Fills, overwhelming amounts of demons.

    Non-Collectible Tokens

    Warrior

Mannoroth the Flayer commands the Burning Legion's warriors.

Themes: Discard, Whirlwind effects, enormous weapons.

    Neutral

Plague of Flames is going to be a killer card in Wild. Combo decks don't care about what happens to their Kobold Librarians and Voidwalkers. Blow them up!

Omfg, love that art. What a dopey looking creature. I tried to make the card humorous.

next: use this Wolpertinger art. It's from the warcraft tcg. Goofy animal. Make it a beast, but otherwise do whatever you think is right.

Super Doomsayer? Might be neat as a legendary too?

Use this Francis Bacon painting to make a priest spell or minion

What about resummoning all of the minions, but on your side of the board? Also, 10 seems like a lot. Not sure how possible that is for Warlock.

Cool idea! I like the quest, but the reward feels a little weak. Generally, quests that don't provide continuous benefit need to have a bigger impact than this. Think about the quests that have seen regular play (Timewarp, Sulfuras, Caverns, Awaken the Makers). Time Warp and the 40 hp are huge tempo effects, they swing the game in a new direction.

Your reward card seems great (3x Mind Control), but Mind Control is mostly good when it surprises your opponent. There will be no surprise with this reward card.

Made some more updates. I fixed Anomalus' text so he doesn't blow himself up with the battlecry.

I also changed the new Legendary. I think Elfensilver was right and I'm not sure it's a great idea. Instead, Yorshaj the Screamer shuffles a random Old God into your deck on a battelcry and deathrattle. It's a value card for control decks, and since the idea behind this homebrew is having an event, it's a fun card to entice people into Wild who might not have any Whispers cards.

Not sure it's the best idea, but I'd be open to hearing others. I want the new legendary to be a Battlecry Deathrattle and to be called "the screamer". Those are my only design principles on it right now.

Updated the sheets again. Took the Master of Evolution out and made Eternal Sentinel a battlecry/deathrattle. I also simplified my changes to ancient shieldbearer, keeping it the same mana, making it battlecry/deathrattle. I put Tentacles for Arms up to 3.

Gotta disagree on people saying Feral Rage is op at 2 mana. +4 attack and +8 armor appropriate 2 mana effects. It's better than Heroic Strike, but not by 1 mana.

Blade of C'thun is at 6 to keep it out of odd rogue, but 8 is just still too slow. It's a high tempo card, but 6 feels good when compared to Vilespine Slayer. If C'thun Rogue is ever going to work, it needs serious control tools, I hope this might do the trick.

    ---------

Generally speaking, Wild is very high powered. There are lots of cards that are unsalvageable for the format, their effects just aren't going to do anything impressive enough. I tried to target cards that are on the cusp of playability in the format, or cards with unique features.

Very cool to get all this feedback so quickly.

I'd be curious to see other people attempt this kind of project. I might do Goblins and Gnomes and the Grand Tournament. I skimmed through the more recent wild sets, and lots of those cards are still played, it'd be difficult to do this process to Gadgetzan or Journey to Un'goro. They're full really great cards and cards that can't be saved.

    Lots of interesting ideas here!

I'll go through anything that stands out to me. If I don't mention it, I have no problems with it.

    Thanks for the Feedback!

You pointed out some problems, im going to fix them.

Im erring on the side of 'thats too good' with some of the changes. But even if these cards saw use in standard, they are almost never used in wild. Darkshire is occasionally, but not regularly, I'd like to see him return as a staple for zoo and make discard better.

I play a lot of Wild, currently at legend, so I'm feeling confidant that none of these changes are just going to make a tier 1 or tier 2 deck better.

Glad I tricked you! Haha, tried to make it look legit.

Good call on Anomalus! I'll change that and update it.

But Cho'gall could actually be very useful. I imagine doing it like this: Cho'gall+Twisting Nether (or some other spell that kills cho'gall) then Rafaams Scheme (or some other spell that generates minions). Or perhaps Cho'gall+Cataclysm+Nether Portal for a discard quest warlock. Because we're breaking mana limits with a card like this, I expect its mostly about doing strange meme combos. The life loss is already devastating.

Master of Evolution, good call. I guess the deathrattle would be randomly chosen, but that's different than how the battlecry works. So you're right, its not functional. I'll remove it and add something else.

I really liked the Rise of Mechs event and wanted to try my hand at doing something similar for wild. I looked for cards that needed mana discounts to become viable in wild and I looked for cards that had cool abilities if I made them Battlecry and Deathrattle, instead of just being a battlecry or deathrattle. My hope would be that some tier 4 and 3 decks might make use of these changes, or that entirely new decks might emerge.

Let me know what you think!

It might be easier to look at in Imgur
