That destructive feeling when the road opens up and demands even higher speeds.
Once when I was just a boy, I was playing outside late into the evening. Out of nowhere I felt a rumble like thunder pounding out from the earth itself. I was afraid, sure, but I couldn't help looking to see what it was. Those ladies came screaming down the road; they must have been magic because I could hear their yells over the sound of those monstrous bikes. I’ve kept it to myself all these years, but between you and me, I’ve never wanted to do anything so much as I wanted to join them. It’s been 63 years since that day and not a week goes by that I don’t think about it.
