As of this morning, September 22, Mythgard has returned to iOS!

We’re relieved to say that iOS has been released to distribution. It may take a few hours for it to propagate to your local App Store servers.

Whether you've been wanting to check out Mythgard on iOS with its launch late last week, or you've been a long-time player and have been wondering where the game went on iOS devices, you're in luck; Rhino Games has published a couple of updates about the missing app.

It all started with the release of the new expansion Rings of Immortality. Initially, the game update was not available on iOS because of "gridlock [...] due to the release of iOS 14" claimed by Rhino's Phu. No worries, many games that release on multiple platforms typically have their Android and iOS versions lag behind desktop due to publishing slow downs with Google and Apple. Another update was later provided by Rhino Leo where he stated that Apple has declined their update due to issues with content within the game that was previously approved.

To lessen confusion on why new Mythgard players can't connect to the game after downloading it from the App Store, Rhino Games has removed the app temporarily until they can get it verified by Apple once more.

Rhino is hopeful that Mythgard will release again on the App Store later this week or next week at the latest.

Mythgard is available on Android, Steam, and the Web for the time being. If you're playing the Rings of Immortality update, be sure to check out free codes to add to your account for some packs.

The app approval process seems to be a bit gridlocked right now due to the recent release of iOS 14. We’re in queue though, and hope to be released to the store soon.

We’ve taken it off the store temporarily due to how long it’s taking so new players don’t do a big download only to not be able to play. (RhinoPhu)

Sorry for the delay we are having issues with Apple Approval for our launch patch. They suddenly brought up a lot of issues with content that has been approved for over a year.

We are aiming to get the iOS patch out and return Mythgard to the app store later this week/early next week at the latest. (RhinoLeo)
