I have returned! I quite enjoyed the little gift exchange Demon and I did, writing each other's articles last week, but it's always good getting back to what you know best. The year is almost over!

This will be the last Conversation of 2020 - though not the last Conversation of the Season - and I don't really have anything special planned for it. Sometimes it's nicer just to have something familiar to round everything out, y'know?

On Top Of The World

We begin of course by congratulating the winner of the latest WCDC; DavnanKillder and their Sand Shark!

They'll be in charge of the prompt for next week - that's two in a row! Well done!

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

That wasn't our only winner, however - we also had a special festive competition ongoing, which was won by Demonxz95 and their Gift Wrapper!

There's no particular prize for winning this competition - I hope you're all enjoying the Snowpocalypse we've got going on!

Years and Years

The latest Fan Community Spotlight took a look at everything that happened in the world of Fan Creations here this year with a 2020 Retrospective. It's a fantastic read and I do recommend giving the whole thing a look over when you have the time - I was amazed by how much has happened since the start of the year!

There really isn't much I can add to it beyond urging you to check it out, so I'll take this space to get all mushy as the year comes to an end.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our Weekly Card Design Competitions across Seasons 1 and 2 - without you all enthusiastically taking part and giving each other feedback they certainly wouldn't be possible. I hope they've been enjoyable to take part in and that they've helped you become better card creators. I know I've definitely seen improvements from people week to week as I go through checking the entries, and I can't wait to see what some of you come up with next.

Of course, thanks as well to everyone else working to make this website the best it can be, whether by writing articles or helping out with the community. Y'all are great people to work with and I can't wait to see where we can take this next year.

As we come up to the New Year, it's tradition to have a resolution for the future, something you're going to strive towards achieving. Too often in the past I've set specific goals and felt discouraged when I couldn't meet them, whether or not that was something in my control. This year especially has taught me that sometimes even the simplest of plans can be waylaid by outside influence, so I'm going for a different kind of resolution this time - in 2021, I'm gonna promise to do things that make me happy. I don't know what that'll be yet - new hobbies, old favourites, particularly interesting areas of study - but whatever it is for me, I hope you all find something like that too.

Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, and happy creating!

Spelling It Out

To round us out, the WCDC for this week! We're looking for cards to help other classes cash in on that 'no minion' magic!
