We're getting more Champion Skins in Legends of Runeterra this week! One of League of Legends most revered skin themes, Pool Party, joins our favourite card game and six champions are making a splash.
What are Champion Skins?
Champion Skins change the appearance of champion card but not any of the champion's abilities, stats, or mana cost.
Currently, there are 2 tiers of champion skins: "alternative card art only" and "alternative card art with alternative animation". The skins with alternative animations are priced more expensive than those with alternative card art only.

Legends of Runeterra's Pool Party Skins
Six new skins are being added and are the start of Legends of Runeterra's Pool Party line-up.
- A bundle is available in the shop for 5272 Coins with all the new Pool Party skins.
Pool Party Taliyah
Taliyah gets alternate art and a new level-up animation in her Pool Party skin.
Pool Party Draven
Draven gets alternate art in his Pool Party skin.
Pool Party Fiora
Fiora gets alternate art in her Pool Party skin.
Pool Party Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger gets alternate art in his Pool Party skin.
Pool Party Zoe
Zoe gets alternate art in her Pool Party skin.
Pool Party Taric
Taric gets alternate art in his Pool Party skin.

It's kind of embarassing how the spinoff cardgame does a better job at coming up with creative artwork than the main game which to this day continues to cycle through the same 3 uninspired poses and generic backgrounds.
I think a different art studio might be behind the art for LOR than for LOL, right? Could be why.

And of course, hopefully, the balance patch will finally bring redemption in the end of June...
Draven's both arts are so sick with Kato The Arm, Shiraza the Blade and such. So fun !
Rofl the artist goofed hard on Katarina in Fiora's art. No leg tatto, dif hair and scar on a wrong eye 🤣
I'm assuming the art was mirrored, which is why the scar is on the wrong side of the face, but it wouldn't explain the hair or the missing tattoo lel
I gotta say I did not expect the art on these skins to be this great. I love how they made pool party versions of many followers as well. I don't think that there's a high chance that followers will get their own alternate art anytime soon but who knows.
I did not need to see Draven making a duckface though...
