It's been almost two weeks since the big 22.2 patch arrived with its featured card balance changes for both Standard and Wild - which marked another first for the latter format (as it has only seen a couple of special bans previously). That also means the time is running out on this precious opportunity to collect dust refunds for the eligible items, so now would be the perfect chance to take one final thorough look at your collection and see if there is anything relevant still hiding in there. Very soon the following cards will no longer grant you the full amount of arcane dust upon disenchanting:

The above cards should all remain disenchantable for full arcane dust value at least throughout today. And quite possibly even slightly longer than that - over the past year we have witnessed these dust refund windows being extended for more than 24 hours (possibly to account for various timezones or give forgetful players one last chance). But it's best not to bet everything on that.

Dust Refund Issues

A little while ago we've reported on a small issue with the current dust refund window where it was mistakenly disabled for a brief amount of time, with the cards in question only providing their normal low arcane dust returns upon disenchanting. Let's note that anyone affected should've since been reimbursed:

2/2 Update: We have awarded Arcane Dust refunds to anybody who disenchanted any cards that should have been eligible for dust refunds during the brief period on January 27 when that refund period was unintentionally cut short.

Wild and Standard Card Packs

We always recommend disenchanting all eligible cards for their full dust value while you can, as recrafting any of them later takes only a moment and becomes essentially free. But, there is also a little more to that if you don't currently own specific Epics or Legendaries.

Technically speaking, crafting Cloak of Shadows or Raid the Docks and then turning them to dust again should also ensure you don't pull these cards from their respective packs in the future until after you have collected everything else there is (courtesy of duplicate protection rules, as the game registers you as having owned them at one point in time). It's a similar trick some players were using for their Vanndar Stormpike and Drek'Thar while their refund window lasted. Worth a consideration when you are certain you don't wish to see something anytime soon.

Other than that, make sure to open those Alterac Valley packs from your Lunar Year Questline! There might be a lucky Wildpaw Gnoll waiting. Grabbing a few more packs from the shop is always a valid option in these instances - just remember that we are still expecting the Mini-Set to arrive within a few weeks at most, so having enough funds to spare whenever that happens is a good idea.

Patient veteran players might've also had a good number of Sorcerer's Apprentice copies sitting around from way back when Tavern Brawls were still giving us Classic packs. Incanter's Flow (Ashes of Outland) was already nerfed before and Rapid Fire belongs to Rise of Shadows, so probably not a whole lot to find there.

As we've pointed out in our recent spotlight for Standard meta decks, Cloak of Shadows and Shadowcrafter Scabbs have been doing just fine. If you aren't a big fan of (Poison) Rogue, may as well dust away.

Refund Keyword in the Collection Manager

The option has been with us for half a year now, so it's probably already well known and no longer warrants being called a 'recent' feature, but just in case: no need to manually type in card names and search for eligible items one by one - now using one simple keyword will list everything all at once.

By typing "refund" in the card collection search box, you will now be able to easily locate these cards together and make your decision on whether or not they are getting dusted (if you press the "crafting" button alongside it, the game will also show you any 'refundable' cards that you currently do not own). This has been an excellent 'quality of life' addition, even if it took a long time to become a reality.

Searching “Refund” in the Collection will now populate with cards eligible for a dust refund.

Remember to check for any golden cards you might own as well, and in this particular instance make sure to set your collection search to include "Wild Cards" too if that isn't your default option!

P.S. Sometimes you may encounter a rare bug where refundable cards won't show as such or won't display full arcane dust returns, even though the refund window is still active. Always restart your Hearthstone client and double check again in such cases.
