We have actually updated our main "Issues & Fixes" article with this official information earlier during the night/morning hours (your timezone experience may vary), but it seems like a good idea to also follow with a full public service announcement; just in case not everyone thought to keep checking back with the previous thread. Plus, there have also been a couple of other improvements which warrant a mention. Everything else currently known to us is still gathered in one easily accessible place:

The most important part has to do with our "5 Ranked Wins" Weekly and Honor Questline correctly tracking progress in all game modes once again. The Nozdormu Quest has also been fixed, although that one already had a simple workaround we posted about (through Tavern Brawl, Casual Mode, or Duels). So if you've been still waiting around with playing until your Quest progression was returned to normal, it should be all good to go. If for some reason it isn't for you, that definitely warrants a report in the main Blizzard forum thread. If you were also hoping to see some sort of retroactive compensation for any of your missed Ranked wins or Honor gains while the bugged Quests were in effect, we are afraid that's not currently happening.

  • [Resolved 2/17] The team is investigating reports that other quests, aside from Nozdormu Day and the Honor Track, have also stopped properly tracking.

A More Stable Game

We've also been provided with further context on the subject, as well as learned about a few other things:

2/17 Update: Last night, we implemented a temporary fix to the issue of various Quests not tracking as intended. Last night’s temporary fix appears to have worked without further issues, so we are incorporating a permanent solution. We are currently in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix that addresses the following issues:

  • Fixes bug causing Quests and Honor Track to not progress.
  • Fixes a bug that allowed players to “Golden” their hero in Battlegrounds, resulting in a doubling of their Health.
  • Mitigates miscellaneous crashes.

A server-side hotfix means no client updates needed on the player's side. Hopefully the team has also managed to greatly improve these stability issues (crashes & disconnects) we've been hearing about - especially on mobile devices. No real details were given beyond that.

Golden Battlegrounds Heroes?

Curious about that peculiar Battlegrounds bug mentioned above? You aren't the only one!

Team is starting to roll out a small hotfix to solidify the emergency fix made last night, plus a niche BG bug that I kinda wish I had seen before it was gone.

It turns out this has actually happened to a certain notable streamer, with Rdu able to capture the bug in question for a YouTube video. Kudos to a couple of Twitter users for letting the rest of us know!

You can spot the interaction by the 16:34 mark, as Rdu attempts to triple Maexxna while his Finley & Metzen Hero suddenly gets a shiny glow and gains extra 40 Health on top of the current amount. Hey, perhaps it ought to be a new feature. It still took Rdu good 90 seconds to even notice! Battlegrounds is a very hectic place when you are rushing against turn timers; who's got the time to admire all these pretty portraits anyway.
We'll keep you posted should anything else come up!
