It's the end of the WCDC - for now, anyway. We shall return for Season 5, though I won't give you a date for that right now - there's nothing I hate more than seeing something delayed, and if you don't give a date until you're sure you're ready then you don't have to delay!

Until the next Conversation, everyone!

High Seas

Congratulations to the winner of the final WCDC of the Season, BloodMefist with their Savvy Sea Dog!

We'll see their theme next Season, so look forward to that!

Dragon Army

It's another Duels class taking its turn in the Spotlight, with Neoguli's Custom Kazakusan Hero!

As I said the last time a Custom Duels class was featured, I love the space that combining two classes opens up for representing characters in unique ways. Kazakusan as a Rogue/Warlock hybrid is something that I don't think I'd have thought of myself, but I really like it. I think the Hero Powers have been chosen well to show off the vision, and they cleverly work in spaces available to both classes - this is especially interesting, as Rogue and Warlock have never really had much connection before.

Something that I didn't touch on when looking at the previous Duels class that I think is really displayed well here is how the unique powerlevel of Duels allows you to do really fun things that wouldn't be possible in other modes. These Hero Powers are really strong, really synergistic, but looking at the various ones already implemented into the mode they don't feel out of place at all.

Duels is the perfect place to show off your love for your favourite character, be it your own original creation or some obscure NPC that really stuck with you. Who knows, after all - could anyone ever have predicted Dr. Boom's rise to stardom?

Room With Review

The end of the WCDC Season is upon us, and with it comes the wonderful Season 4 Recap from Demon's Fan Community Spotlight!

The Recap is a great way to see every winner from this Season in one place, and it's always interesting to try and see if there's any particular trends among the winners. Of course, since every competition is themed it's never going to be something too obvious, but that makes it all the more exciting if you spot a pattern.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the wonderful community we have here. It's always a delight to see a consistent participant winning the competition, but equally it's great to see some new faces join the overall leaderboard. I actually made it up there for the first time myself this Season with a couple of designs I really like, so I suppose I can finally feel like I'm talking with a bit more authority than I had.

I encourage you all to check out the Recap, discuss your favourite cards, and feel free to offer suggestions for the WCDC here in the comments.
