Riot recently published a Dev Snapshot video where Game Director Dave Guskin talked about some upcoming Legends of Runeterra content. In short:

  • Kai'Sa is joining!
    • She will be Shuriman Champion, and she will "evolve" based on her followers' keywords.
    • Her followers will also transform into stronger versions of themselves.
    • She is described as a midrange Champion and a combo finisher.
  • There will be more champions in addition to Kai'Sa.
    • Dave mentioned "cards that thrive in darkness" and unlikely heroes with unconventional power sources.
  • The expansion launches on July 20.
