Discussion

While Rogue was the most popular pick for the first week of the final season of Grandmasters (12/16 players brought it), four other classes got 9-10 picks as well. Many classes also fielded two different archetypes, making the lineups even more varied. Only one class, Warrior, got no picks at all during the first week of Conquest.

Result-based Discussion

As all of the four Last Call spots meant for the best Masters Tour performers went to Europeans, eight of the sixteen Grandmasters represent EU. These players took 6 of the top 8 spots in this first week, with only Pascoa from Americas and Posesi from APAC giving them a proper fight with their semifinal finishes. The final took place between the often-animated SuperFake and a more stoic Bunnyhoppor, with the latter coming out on top with a clear 3-0 victory.

The winner of the first week of Conquest.

The aforementioned quartet has taken the early points lead, but there are two more weeks to play! You can find the full points standings on the official tournament site.

Grandmasters will continue next week with the new Trio format. Don't forget to tune in!
