We've got a return of the Heroic Tavern Brawl for the Standard format at the start of next month and this time around Blizzard is shaking things up and offering an additional reward!
As usual, there are prizes based on how many wins you perform in the Heroic Brawliseum, but to make things more interesting for all players, if you can win 3 games in single run, you'll get the Ghoul Queen Scarlet Death Knight Hero Skin!
Additionally, Heroic Brawliseum will no longer take away the free card pack when it is available. Blizzard has solved this issue by using a legendary quest that will reward you with a Standard Pack for winning a game of any type, not just brawls!
Heroic Brawliseum runs cost 1000 Gold or 1000 Runestones to enter and you're out once you've lost three times with your deck - just like Arena.

I guess the only good thing about it here for me is that Im not exactly that keen on it. But scummy nevertheless. You'd think that the state of standard currently that it won't be a good idea to lock a skin in it but what do I know?
As someone who wants a female Death Knight skin, this is an especially low-blow. I just know they'll use this as their excuse not to make another one :(

Agreed, the new DK skin looks kind of meh to me. Also feels weird that the ghoul at the bottom right is drawn bigger than Scarlet herself. She should be the main focus of the hero portrait, right?

Honestly, the value isn't that great. You get a chance at getting a hero skin for your 1000 gold / 1000 runestone entry. It's certainly better than previous offerings which you get effectively nothing (4 packs, 120g, 120 dust) if you get to 3 wins, but this is going to bait players into buying it when the mini-set is just around the corner.
Is there a mini-set? I thought they said that between larger-than-usual set and Path of Arthas there won't be a mini set. But I might be imagining things.
I am baitd, but i do have tons of gold and already spent some gold on buying cosmetics anyway, so it isn't different from that for me, but damn can't skip it this time around because i also really want that portrait
If this skin was guaranteed (play in hc brawl, get the skin)
i wouldnt mind it to much, but its far from guaranteed (even the best players can still lose due some bad rng/draws or poor machups) and then you just wasted 10 bucks/1000 gold for NOTHING.
I dont mind paying for cosmetics, aslong im actully guaranteed to get them, but this is not guaranteed and its aslo time limoted.
well for me it is guaranteed, my winrate at top 1000 legend is above 50%, but yeah can see how for lower rank players it would be daunting...
